just inquiring where to purchase Canadian engine Tags? My 1967 33 ft. Chris Craft was built in Stratford Ontario and I want to try and keep my new rebuilt 327 engine as stock as I can. I've checked with the usual site for classic boats in America but they have just American.
Well you got me on this one, I'm really not sure they have different engine tags for Canadian models. I'm not sure they have different engine tags they sent to Italy either, for installation in boats built there. And I know for a fact that when Chris-Craft sold engines for repowering or for initial power in boats like Riva or Hatteras, the motors showed up dead stock with US tags and Chris-Craft logos, etc. People were proud to have such good equipment, and Herb Pocklington smiled one day when he told me he made a profit on every motor he sold Carlo for his Riva boats. If you have any examples of Canadian tags let us know, we stand to learn.
