hi im looking for a really good 9' fly rod for medium sized rivers.Am willing to spend a little extra money to get a better than average rod which casts nice and forgiving.

Have been looking at sage launch series and also RSL and daiwa alltmor and am wondering about ur opinion on these and recommendations for any others rods.

Because im starting after a long break 5 years or more i need somthing which is for a beginner to the sport but somthing that will last.

Thanks for any help,
carl

Try a Sage

You might want to go with a Sage. They are excellent rods and most of them come with a lifetime warranty.

The professional series is the most forgiving rod on the market today, in my opinion.
Since you stated you had been a way awhile I assume that means no practice or at least rusty.

This rod will make you look great if not first day, then second. Big long bend and loads a ton.

You will throw this one a mile. Try the 10ft version for waist or deeper water.

Remember two things, Professional series and wait on the backcast to load the rod.

Hope that helps
