I have a new respect for Steve and everyone else

that does nighttime photography. I've been trying to get some Christmas lights photos around here, and I just can't seem to hold still enough. A tripod just isn't practical to me. I want to be able to point and shoot. I'll keep practicing and maybe actually get out of the car to take the pics.

Honestly, I take all of my photos in "auto" mode. If I use nighttime or other modes, the camera takes a few seconds to finally snap the photo and the time it takes the photo is usually long enough that it is very blurred. I've never figured out the functions and have found "auto" seems to work best with my Canon A85.

I was going to post about it myself because we can NEVER take pictures w/o the lights sliding and being blurry!
