My vampire story that no one would have ever guessed I would do.

[Part One]

"Why are you such a bookworm, Razera?" asked one of the popular girls in seventh period.

"So I can actually get smarter and not worry about getting as stupid as you are." I shot back.

The girl just stared at me in disgust and walked away with the rest of her group. I was used to this and just went back to my book. The bell would ring in about five minutes and I would end up at the park looking for a place to sleep once again. This was just normal routine for me and I didn't mind it much anymore.

I put the book back in the desk as the bell rang and walked out, my hands in my pockets. I could hear snickering behind me as I walked. All I did was turn and look at the mockers and my black eyes held an ominously evil death glare. The snickering immediately stopped and I kept on.

When I got to the park, I decided against a bench. I had been hearing news of burglars and stupid teens that were prowling the park the last couple of days. I was perfectly capable of taking care of myself, but I didn't feel like hurting anyone tonight.

Something moved in the bushes and I kept walking, pretending not to notice anything. I could hear someone or something walking up behind me and just as it was right behind me, I turned around and punched the person in the gut. The person sneaking behind me was a guy. He was doubled over holding his stomach.

"What the hell did you do that for you little..."Before the guy could finish, I elbowed the guy on the back of his neck, knocking him out.

"Thats what you get for sneaking up on me...or trying to." I said as I walked off, leaving the guy there.

I kept on my way, my hands back in my pockets. I watched the ground as I walked and only looked up when I was trying to find a bench or a tree to sleep in. As I got deeper into the forest area of the park, I found a tree with a hollow up high.

"I guess that'll work for tonight." I said as I began climbing.

Once I got to the hollow, I made sure it was tolerable for sleeping. I yawned and got as comfortable as I could. Once I got settled I drifted off.
