just below a ridge topby Mattyjust say these things are like hunter gatherer people, very smart and quick. they also may want to find a spot below a ridge top, on the side of a mountaon ridge below the top but in brush or even a small crevace or hole/cave with access to the top of the ridge. In a spot like that they could see from above over a valley or meadow ,left and right and center, they could scoot up to the top of the ridge and onward for escape, and continually go up to the top of the ridge to check the other side and up and down along parts of the ridge top for any danger that could come from above. The could aslo avoid being spotted by small planes and helicopters below the ridge at the edge of the forest. Bobcats sleep in little spots like this, little bedding areas on the sides of little hills and ridges under some cover with a view. If they hide in caves it could make them vulnerable to being found, depending on the cave . If 10 guys with guns and two packs of hounds showed up near the cave entrance and sorrounded it and the cave had only one way out with no back escape hole out, it could be smoked out or harrased out into the barrage of hunters. Maybe sleeping in a small cave near the entrance with a watch out but not for long periods of time. Interestingly enought though most mountain ranges are riddled with boulders and small holes and caves on the sides of the ridges. Even in smaller mountain ranges in the northeast, the spots between the tops of the mountain ridges and the trees below are riddled with large boulders and holes and crevaces that are difficult to access and climb around on. from IP address 4.251.124.131 Goto Forum Home |
