You should get good maps and find some likely sites in your area of interest.Then take a look at them from the air thru the Mn. dnr web site.You could well get a "follow" and then the game begins.Take all the normal navigation and survival stuff with you.Benedril for stings,gps and or compass and an emergency space blankets so a broken bone doesn't turn into shock.It also can help keep the rain off of you and warm if you have to "camp out".Another person is not needed and one with a gun is downright dangerous for many reasons.
