weather,travel and time

are the main culprits for a lousy hunt. For weather I always look to the west and see what's going on in St.Cloud and Brainerd.About 80% of the time whatever is happening there will get here 3 or 4 hours later. In summer, a great day for hiking and filming can turn bad after about 3pm and you have to keep that in mind too.Right now the snow leaves no place to park unless you want to shovel it out and where do you safely park while doing that? Travel is a problem for many footers and being able to stay awake driving back can be a deadly one too.So day trips might better be made to include a camp over or nearby motel. Time is lost quickly if you are not prepared, and all equipment should be checked the night before and ready to go and in one spot! The more people involved the more time you lose is almost always the case.If you and they have to travel you can count on losing precious time by the half hours and not by minutes. So now is the time to figure what you have to do to mitigate these things and be totally prepared.Caching water and plaster cast materials and containers on earlier trips is always better than packing it in every time. You'll be fresher when you get to Bigfootville back in the woods that waY!Good Luck.
