lynxby danbury242That guys logic is flawed and he is reporting old data that was wrong from the start. Lynx were common in the forested areas of minnesota at one time. He writes, "While there are decent populations in places like Montana, Vermont, Idaho and Washington, the lynx has been considered a rare animal in Minnesota since the late 1970s". Well, there is good reason for that, they had been hunted, trapped, bountied, lost their habitat and where pretty much gone by the seventies. The Lynx has a sad story in Minnesota, they have been persecuted, neglected and ignored. Mostly because of misinformed people like the author. It is about time they get the protection that they need. Here is an article that explains why this land is being designated as critical habitat.................. http://www.minnpost.com/markneuzil/2009/03/05/7154/feds_proposed_expansion_of_lynx_habitat_includes_several_minnesota_counties from IP address 69.179.38.106 Goto Forum Home |
