the best time to track something?

To start earning your spurs as a bonafide tracker.I suggest you get where you want to be early and start looking just before and after sun up.The dew on the grass keeps much of it bent to the ground a long while before the sun burns it off.He can and usually does avoid the mud,the grass is one of his weaknesses. When you really need an edge, that one might put you over the top. With his big feet,it is not hard to know what you are tracking using this method.A lot of lost hunters have been found this way too. They will walk all night and day long and are easiest to track at this time of day.Frost on the grass can work too. Also find out if they smoke and what brand.A cigarette degrades rather quickly and can tell you how big a head start they have on you.If you ever ran out of smokes and dug one out of the ash tray for a puff or three. You know what I mean.
