You must be sitting on a wealth of information won by the extensive studies you yourself have dne to refute and condemn someone like Robert Morgan. Hey! You have been holding out on us here.

bear walks by 10 feet away

by Murph

This morning taking a smoke break from shoveling fill where the prior owners let it erode away.A nice chubby bear of 350/400 lb range walked right by me his face smeared with crapola,Mondays are garbage pick up days here! So sighting usually happen on Sunday night or Monday mornings when weekenders are nice enough to have left a smelly smorgasborg out overnight to entice them.I don't know if he even saw me ,five minutes earlier and he would have passed inches from my butt sticking out from under the front deck where I was doing erosion control work.I say HE because when he got near the first thing I thought was "damn ,I hope there ain't no cubs trailing behind!" Although since I had Maggies camp stool under me to swing at him,I figured he'd be in awe of my overwhelming raw power, speed and endurance while peeing and pooping all over myself!LOL.Seriously it was a real treat to have him come lumbering past so close I could hear him huffing and puffing.Living in the woods you have to expect the unexpected I quess!

Bear

by Maggie

Do I even want my camp stool back anymore? Peeing and the pooping all over my chair? LOL. Seriously, I enjoy the critters here at the lake like the turkey eating seeds and woodticks in the grass, a racoon desperately trying to tip the hummingbird feeder so the nectar could run down his throat. I even made friends with a black squirrel sporting grey spots. I had to slam on the brakes yesterday to avoid hitting a bald eagle lifting off of carrion on the side of the road. I told you happiness could be had up North there by the lake, didn't I?

High water

by Maggie

The lake here has definitely filled up. A good thing too considering the low level last year. I took out the pontoon boat for her maiden voyage on Saturday. Woo-hoo! Fun abounded. Even though it was a little windy, I was able to dock the boat real nice. No fishing this weekend. I was busy entertaining guests and my daughters' in-laws. While living on the lake, everyone you know and are related to likes to visit. Cool!

Brrrr

by Maggie

What's the deal? Winter again? Wind is blowing like crazy. Thunderstorm is on the way. Flash flood warnings. Are these events the earth changes that woo-woos have been warning of? So many questions and the stock market falls again. Gas prices are rising as well as food prices. The average working stiff is getting the short end of the stick and Bush rolls along and collectifies his thoughts. Mission acomplished is now the suppresion. John McCain wants to remain in Iraq for a hundred years if need be. We have a vacuum of real leadership for domestic affairs. I guess Bush is right. Being President is hard work. A regime change is overdue and come this Fall a reality. I can hardly wait.

Soggy woods not conducive to footing nor price of gas

by Murph

Yet,there is SOME good from the oil money grab situation.Suv sales are non existant anymore. The propane truck driver tells me that people are tearing out their oil burning furnaces and switching to natgas in record numbers. And a nutient formula recently discovered by Green Star products increases oil output from algae by 100 % !. It is only a matter of time before the crude oil business in the USA is done and we can finally put a fork in it! It may be sooner than anyone ever dreamed of or hoped for!!!

my take on these so called "experiments" is this:

by Murph

whatever value they may have had to science was corrupted and sacrificed to nationalistic values and illegal applications. If your theme is so insecure and unappealing to require such abhorent behavior, does it have any worth?Perhaps our leaders of today should stop dropping trillions of dollars of so called "foriegn aid" that WE have no way to stop,on religious fanatics and military regimes and instead aid the American people our representatives are elected to represent and look out for.Certainly the Saudi's and Israeli's and various others have the means and resources to "get by without us". AND if they don't maybe they will cool their murderous jets and make peace amongs't themselves INSTEAD OF war.An empty belly can have enormous effect. As Dorkus and Dufuss might learn as $5 gasoline hits on INDEPENDENCE DAY! of all times.Madam guillotine has not had enough French blood to quell her thirst, so American political criminal blood it seems might calm her.Enjoy the fruits of YOUR vote as your mansions and mc mansions lose tens of thousands in value. As your 3,4, 5+ thousand feet of luxurious living space becomes a nightmare of of heating and cooling bills.YOU ,yes YOU, should have planned ahead.AND I might ADD voted agin the oil companies and not fer 'em.It is YOU who will pay the price. The rest of us will eat fish, venison, rabbits and squirells and get by, YOU can eat S###!.

I wonder how much $ Rense would pay

by Murph

for my original print and frame prop from "Girl with blue bird" painting from the "Manchurian Candidate" circa 1962.All existing prints are smaller than this original and the frame is meticulously put together to preserve the artwork. Project "bluebird" is something you all and esp Maggie should research.Don't get paranoid like Rense tho. It's just that what you don't know can hurt you and what you do know can hurt you even more! Also some of us know more than others. LOL. Ve have veys of making you talk!.Just go out and get the million$ for Bushnell Bigfoot photo,ok.

Art and other fine things

by Maggie

I just picked up a Monet print this week from a girlfriend. Her mother is an artist and 90 years old. Her mother is unloading belongings because she entered an assisted living apartment. I also have a print from my art teacher whose paintings were going for $8,000.00 and up each. My brother has an entire collection of prints by Moucha who did posters for plays and movies. This artist knows her stuff. She also gets paint on her old clothes and hands. I really get into it.

not so fast!!

by murph

and not in these winds you won't!. Well getting my boat by Monday unless the mean green breaks down under the strain. We need some DRY weather to get cameras out and some crappies in..the boat. Wet weather has put 12 yards of dirt and other yard work on hold too long already.I will probably have to cut the grass now before I can finish it.But it will be an A-1 job when I am done. I can't feel bad about letting Biggie deal with the ticks by his lonesome or getting his big feet wet while mine are toasty and dry! LOl.But will he be ready when I am,that's the question,so far he has won the duels but not flawlessly and hopefully not for much longer!

So why can't ole Doc

by Murph

and Murph just paddle down the St.Croix and photo Bigfoot by the ton? Maybe ,perhaps and because his dens are now, after people appeared, along the tributaries and not the river itself.Especially those created by earthquake faults wher openings are easier to disquise and hidden in the deep woods instead of on the bluffs of major waterways. There is you secret Doc,right there for all to see.Mine, yours ,everyones and especially his,....he has evolved to counter us this way!

photo/film contest runs until December

by Murph

should not be too big a task if a person has the right equipment. Some in this hunt think rainfall amounts, pine trees, and mountains play a part in it.Maybe they do,but there is more to it than that and geological knowledge is starting to look like the KEY issue. For us here in the MN/Wisc area that means fault and subsidence zones.Where a creature who might want to dwell within the earth has to also have access to erosion tubes in the bedrock.Sandstone or limestone caverns that once carried groundwater and are now cool safe havens for the most secretive and elusive creatures on the earth today or any other day.Not only is Bigfoot rare, but he alone possesses the rare skills, strength and intelligence to put together a flawless plan and way of life and death. On a personal level, every one of these creatures that I have encountered have one thing in common.Easy access to sandstone bedrock, especially where faults from ancient quakes and volcanism has created passages within the earth.Realize if you will, that tghe water that we can see on the surface, creeks and smaller rivers are but a small amount of the water that enters major watershed rivers.Yes Doc,you should have your ears on!Because much of this water enters unseen beneath the bedrock. In this case that sandstone that forms much of the St.Croix river bed.The more the river drops seasonally, annually over milleniums, the deeper the seepage erodes the bedrock to meet up with it.High on the banks, midway down, near the bottom or under the river itself.Somewhere that water finds its way into the river.Your challenge is to find the much older openings that our creatures are using and disquising to take up housekeeping in those now cool dry cavens. You are no quitter Doc.See ya tommorrow ,or tonite if you have an eye on the million $ prize!

It is only natural to dismiss crypto creature evidence

by Murph

as hoaxed. But it is counterproductive to dismiss every ENCOUNTER AS A HOAX OR MISIDENTIFICATION, THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE.Somewhere in the middle is a balance between what is said, and what is actually seen and clearly identified.Giant birds for instance, only seen in the 1970s could have been condors or turkey vultures blown off course by the storms whose winds many birds ride in migration.THE Jersey Devil, Chuppy,Nessie,Champ all have a greater weakness and hill to climb than Bigfoot.Bigfoot creatures have been seen, told and wrote about just about everywhere.AS an ABOVE GROUND hunter, the evidence is so slim,so very, very slim, that I HAVE TO assume that the evidence ,most all of it is underground!~! Get a geologigal map of pine county available at the U bookstore in MN. Find and walk the faults as I have done.See the subsidence areas, explore the river bluffs from below. As a tracker,I will repeat, again and again, look for what is out of place, but remember Bigfoot's job one is to disquise it. What he CANNOT disquise is erosional gulleys that have only partially filled in over the centuries as the river cut deeper down to the bedrock and beyond in some cases.IF he HAS done that, then he is even smarter and better than anyone could imagine.Heaven help us if he is THAT smart. For then the "giants that were in the earth,"in those days".Have become pretty much undetectible for those as handicapped in thought and vision as ourselves!Good luck out there, you'll really need it.

took a couple hours

by Murph

out along Rutabagie road and Swedish HWY yesterday.Didn't see you out there Doc!Lotsa tracking mud to check and fish in the creeks too.No sign of Bigfoot and nobody else looking.Got a hitch in my back and shoulder that makes just moving around painful. So road hunting the best I could do.You must have been hiked in so far in the tick filled woods that I missed ya Doc!If you get out that way try town road and pit road for tracks you just might surprise yourself a bit! Careful of the trucks on Pit road if they are hauling that day.Coyotes, grouse and deer all over the place there.
