I remember driving across Montana and briefly stopping in Livingston, Montana. I honestly don't remember too much, but I recall being impressed with the layout and overall feel of the town. It was in some kind of canyon with mountains surrounding it, and it definitely had a small town feel.
Anyone ever been to Livingston?
Love, Steve

I passed thru Livingston with former girlfriend Gina in 2001. She was a nurse in Crow Agency but wanted a home for herself off the indian reservation. We checked out Livingston and is a super nice, quaint town, but very expensive. She eventually found a nice affordable place in Red Lodge, MT.
Livingston is quite beautiful and has a great backdrop of steep mountains. Montana is truely "Big Sky Country".

Livingston is the city most people hit before going strait to Yellowstone. Gardiner is the next stop...I lived there for a summer. It's the town that is half in Yellowstone half not in yellowstone. Gardiner is a great little town. Rodeo's every weekend. They have a great little community church. And when the salmon flies come out in May, it's amazing! But right, Livingston...very windy city...you may have thought Chicago was windy, wait til you spend more time in Livingston.
Travelling by on I90...I can see how one would notice the beautiful scenery, the lights of the "M" arches, maybe stop to fill the tank and that would probably be about it ;)
I, however, have called this place "home" for 6 years now. It *is* absolutely beautiful on many levels--the true beauty comes in the people.
There's also several places to get a great coffee ;) but, again, you have to come in off I90 to appreciate it...
Much love from the BigLiv~
