Women's Soccer Getting it Done in the Classroom

Columbus, GA - After a great 2007 season on the field, the CSU women's soccer team had an equally impressive year in the classroom. The overall team GPA for the 2007-08 academic year was a 3.34. Nineteen members of the program achieved a GPA of 3.0 or higher. "I'm proud of the team's success in the classroom as it shows a continued commitment both on and off the field," said head coach Jay Entlich.

Two members of the squad - Megan Honig and Jill Walthall - both attained 4.0 GPA's and were awarded Co-Student Athletes of the Year in women's soccer. Other awards given out are as follows:

MVP - Judith Ospina

Defensive Player of the Year - Megan Honig

Offensive Player of the Year - Stephanie Parrish
