Clemson has never really had a lot of in-state players under Trevor, especially not their better players.
Hate to break it to you, but there are not as many talent in-state as out, especially when they're fairly close to GA, NC and Maryland, and have international ties.
There's just not that many talented SC players around...what are the most talented SC players of the past 3 years, and what kind of difference are they making for their colleges? It's like Tennessee recruiting in football...they just have to recruit nationally and look out of state.

Look at Clemson's roster for the past few years. Their most talented and impact players are either from out of state or international players. Lately, through recruiting, the out-of-state players have not panned out. They planned on bringing a couple of internationals this year, but couldn't get them accepted in school.

If you watch their games, the team is solid...there's just no dynamic attacking midfielder, and no true goal-scorer. Nobody with any imagination or that can break teams down w/ the dribble in the middle, and then nobody up top that can finish or has a nose for the goal.
It will be a long season for them for that reason...they'll lose a lot of 1-0, 2-0 games. Phil is a good coach, but I'm afraid the end result will not be enough to keep him in charge.

By the way, 5 Clemson starters are from Georgia. South Carolina starts 6 Georgia guys.
