Mass Mailing

Response to Here is an example of an email we received.

The email you received is a mass mailing. If the coach had seen your player and was truely interested in them the email would have mentioned that the coach saw him play with the specific game and what the coach liked about him.

Nothing wrong with mass mailings. There are kids who like a particular school, attend their camp and hit it off with the coaches. If your kid likes the school, likes the type of soccer they play and honestly feels that he has the skills - give the camp a shot. Attending camp, geting selected for the "all star" team gives you immediate feedback that the coach likes you. Attending camp, not getting selected for the camp all star team should give you an indication that you should look for a different school. Better odds than staying at home and hoping that the coach "finds him" at the next tournament.
