Response to girls scholarships

1. The NCAA authorizes up to 14 FTE soccer scholarships for women in D1 and D2 schools.
2. The schools, based on their budgetary constraints may choose to fund any number between 0 and 14.
3. Each school can choose to fund more or less of these scholarships each year, depending on their funding, as long as they don't exceed 14.
4. You can ask the school's coach about how many scholarships they fund. Alternatevely, you can purchase a book that lists each school's scholarships (along with their coach, facility size, playing style, etc from your local bookstore or Amazon.
5. All this means nothing, unless the coach is interested in your kid and willing to extend a scholarship.
