I know Faulconer from his days at Thomas and I think doing it all alone there with no help is still a part of him. He trusts his eyes only in recruiting, as you never see his assistants out at any of the major college showcases. Maybe he needs to involve them more, but that is his choice to do what he wants with his program. Maybe they are more involved than we know. Everything on this forum, including my opinions, are just speculation anyways.
He treats people fairly and someone ridicules him for not abusing his GAs. Strange thinking there. Maybe he is the one doing it the right way. The facts are his entire recruiting class of 2007 played four years or are finishing their career this year. His very good class of 2009, something like 10 players, all still with the program and will be juniors this year. His entire freshmen class returns as well. No turnover, no staff changes, kids play four years and graduates. Obviously loyal to former players, as both GAs are former Armstrong players. Pretty successful I would say.
