      Problem VT had is that they could not attract top American talent - which is what the AD wants. If they continue to strike out against that top American talent do they go after foreign talent again? Or just settle for mediocre Americans?
      Neither would get them far in the ACC. VT needs top talent, US or foreign. Nyarko is a great player and would help any team. I'll take him over a mediocre American player any day. That's not the issue though...the issue is when you think those foreign players are top talent when they really aren't.

      I would be interested in seeing stats about how many foreign based players stay all four years at a school, compared to US players. And a percentage of foreign based players in each conference, and what percentage of those start.
      A number of how many of those foreign players end up changing alliances and playing for the US would be interesting too.
