Both our players (female and male) were told after spring season

the coaches would talk with each player and advise them of their scholarship awards and were told of their expectations for the following season.
Since one was a full ride (scholastic and soccer) we didn't expect any increase and were pleased the funds were never reduced and shocked when they met the school's increases. The other received increases according to their performance and was awarded a full ride senior year.
However, some players saw awards reduced for non-performance and breaking the coaches rules after they had been warned about their behavior. (we know because players talk and grumble when they are caught out and have to then inform parents of the results of their actions.) The toughest part was not actually knowing the amounts until the letter of acceptance came to the house and we saw it before it was signed and returned. Once they pass that 18th birthday all correspondence goes directly to the player and you as parents only know if your player is in a talkative mood at the time the event happens. They forget so quickly who pays the difference.
