There are not that many older experienced girls (maybe 3 with actual college exp) and yes deadlegs can play into this. No one can play 90 minutes a game for 18 games and be 100%. Thats why you manage players. With 31 girls you can do that.
Outside backs should not get down the field in a sweeper stopper formation and they do push forward (thats why they get beat). Every ball "almost" is deep and long hoping that we can run on to it. Girls are encouraged not to play it back, everything has to go forward.
I agree with early post about 3 poor performances against 3 average to below average team is due to coaching to some extent. she (coach) should accept some responsibilty. overall team is very young and they have done well. Forget that the schedule was not as competetive as some would like it but this is how you build confidence.
the conference tournament will be different. VSU will struggle mightly. all in all congrats to the girls for a great first season.
