Kristina Pascutti Named PBC Women's Soccer Player of the Week
SAVANNAH, Ga. - Sophomore forward Kristina Pascutti has been named the Peach Belt Conference's women's soccer offensive Player of the Week, released today by league officials.
Pascutti tallied four goals and one assist in the Pirates' three wins last week and the Lilburn, Ga., native has now scored at least one goal in six consecutive matches, dating back to the 2009 season.
She started the week with a pair of goals in AASU's 12-0 win over Brewton-Parker on Wednesday. Pascutti then netted the "golden goal" in overtime of AASU's 3-2 win at Lander in the Pirates' Peach Belt Conference opener on Saturday. She added a goal and an assist in AASU's 4-1 win over Tusculum on Monday.
The sophomore leads the Pirates with five goals and 11 points, both totals that rank second in the Peach Belt Conference.
Pascutti and the Pirates return to action on Saturday, Sept. 18, with a 3:30 p.m. matchup at Clayton State in Peach Belt Conference play.
