| Did they really sign 12 freshman and 4 junior college players this year. I only remember 5 seniors. Why are these schools going to a roster of 30 and the better question is why are kids signing at these schools? |

they only had like 20 on the roster, so in reality part of this is to increase the roster size. Probably on paper the most talent and depth she's ever had...but like I said that's on paper. I expect them to actually do well this year. |

one girl had ACL and never stepped on the field, another hurt early in season and a couple of the freshman never saw the field (left school after semester) so only 16 really saw any action - 5 seniors and two others that are not returning left numbers low. Two of the JUCO's will be impact players - both from high profile players from CA schools and heavily recruited - big win for MK and UWG; and at least 4 freshman are truly legit players that will compete for starting roles as soon as they step on campus. GSC schedule changes will make coming year interesting. |

UWG has 7 really solid returners whom will probably head the depth chart going into August, and probably be the starters when the season begins. My interpretation is the previous poster didn't say there are only 4 good players in the recruiting class, mentioned there are 4 legit players that will compete for a starting spot right away - I believe there are several others who are legit whom will not compete for a starting spot becuase of who is infront of them on the depth chart. For example, they recruited a number of defenders, however they have two returning starters and an all conference JUCO defender coming in. So that leaves only 1 starting spot potentially available if they use a 4 back lineup, so in reality not all of those defenders will be competing for a starting spot. I agree with an earlier post that this is the strongest class they've brought in, maybe ever, but only time will tell. One thing is for sure, the depth on this squad will be much better than it's been in a while. |
