One of the new Sage fly rods for 2008 is the ZXL. Have not tried one yet. I'm not even sure they are on the market yet. They are pricey which is no suprise. However, they are also Sage fly rods. Nuff said.
I recently was on a guided wade trip in NC and used the guides 4 wt. zxl. It was so easy to cast, and easy on the wrist, that I'm going to buy one despite the expense. Easily the best rod that I have ever used.

Recently purchased a 6 wt ZXL and used it in Maine. Extremely smooth rod that generates good line speed but also lays down the line softly. Good feel in close, but also can pick up a lot of line and fishes nymphs and weights well. I like to have a fast rod and a moderate rod for different situations. Don't think I need but this one rod for everything in this wt. class.
