I bought this rod as a back to my Sage XI2 8wt. but after casting it I decided to sell the Sage and keep this rod. This is a little softer or a little slower than the Sage but if you don't have a very quick and fast casting stroke, you will really enjoy casting this rod. I have 7 Sage rods and 1 Powell rod and this is my favorite 8wt.

The Tiboron is an awesome rod. Very responsive with good speed. I prefer this rod (7wt) over all of my others for stellhead.
