I have a TRC xi 9 wt. The action is VERY fast. I kind of wish I'd cast it before buying. However, using a 10 wt. Intermediate shooting head and practice has made much difference. Last weekend I spoke with a Temple Forks Represenative at the Flyfishing show, he informed me that this series of rods should have been designated one line weight higher. Hearing this I may try an 11 WT shooting head. At the show I cast a 10' 7wt. Temple Forks Professional series,it seemed really nice for the price.
