What is known is that chief McLaren designer Mike Coughlan is accused of using stolen Ferrari data heisted by Nigel Stepney, Ferrari chief mechanic, to make the latest dominating McLaren F1 cars driven by Fernando Alonso and rookie Lewis Hamilton, both #1 and #2 in the points.
Many believe the accusations, as McLaren's cars went from solid mediocrity to world dominating in one winter.
Personally, I refuse to believe it until the jury has a verdict, McLaren has decades of building world class chassis and can build a competitive car without the aid of Ferrari, so I base my opinion on that. However, I'll admit there is the appearance of wrong doing.
