Just wanted to say hi to you all. Hope you are all coping in your own way. For me, it's five months today since I lost my dad. I'm doing ok, but this 'journey' really is a roller coaster of emotions isn't it. This morning, I was doing fine - keeping busy with my 'ipod' for company and then 'My Way' came on - and I just felt I was knocked for six all other again...it's not even as if this was one of my dad's favourites or anything, it just hit me emotionally.

For my dad's funeral I chose 'Be' and 'Dear Father' (Neil Diamond) for the beginning of the service and my mum chose 'Wind Beneath my Wings' for the end - mind you anything these days sets me off!!

Hi JW,I am thinking of you today and can relate to what you say about the music, that gets me going too, I can assure you.

It is two months today for me too since Colin died, so another milestone past. My daughter is struggling badly still, poor thing, I can't help her, don't know what to say to her except to try and remember him how he was, funny and full of laughter and fun, he wouldn't lke to see her or any of us like this.

I am coping well at the moment, perhaps the driving was helping but I have had a bit of a lapse with that today. My son was taking me around to look for a car and the trafic was horrendous and I decided that there was no way I could drive by myself in that, so I have changed my mind and not going to get a car, not yet anyway...........sorry to disappoint you but unless I had someone in the car with me all the time, which defeats the object a little, LOL, I would be a bag of nerves, Me thinks I will stick with the bus, ha-ha.
