LETTER FROM HEAVEN
To my dearest family, some things I’d like to say,
But first of all to let you know, that I arrived ok.
I’m writing this from heaven, here I dwell with God above,
Here there are no tears of sadness, there is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I’m out of sight,
Remember that I am with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and said “I welcome you.
Its good to have you back again, you were missed while you were gone,
As for your dearest family they’ll be here later on.”
“There is so much we have to do for our immortal man.”
God gave me a list of things that he wished for me to do,
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the days’ chores put to flight,
God and I are closest to you, in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on Earth and all those loving years,
Because you are only human they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry, it does relieve the pain,
Remember there would be no flowers unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God had planned,
And if I were to tell you, you wouldn’t understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on Earth is o’er,
I’m closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you, and many hills to climb,
But together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I’d like it for you too,
That as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who’s in sorrow and in pain,
Then you can say to God at night… “My day was not in vain.”
And now I am contented, that my life was worthwhile,
Knowing as I passed along the way. I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
Just lend a hand to pick him up as on your way you go.
When you’re walking down the street and you’ve got me on your mind,
I’m walking in your footsteps, only half a step behind.
And when it’s time for you to go from that body to be free,
Remember you’re not going, you’re coming here to me.

Oh Amanda, that is so beautiful and I hope true. Yes I cried as I have been doing the whole of the last two days, but they are cleansing tears I am sure of that.
Thank you so much for posting this, it might help many people a little.
Much love,

Sending you hugs and hope you get through this...I also feel positive one day then so lonely others. But i dont tend to cry.....dont seem to have much time to do this as either at work or busy at home etc...does that make sense...not much time to spend on my own just to let it all come out.....as i dont like getting upset in front of people...
I get mad for mum leaving me as we were so close she is the person who i loved (and still love) the most in this world. I often wonder if there is a heaven does mum grieve too....she must miss me so too.
Love you all and thinking of you

Amanda,
Thank you so much for letting us share the poem - I got such a lot of comfort from it and hope everyone else on here will, also.
I don't like to get upset in front of my family as I don't want to upset them so find it quite difficult at times. As I've said many times before, I'm so fortunate to have come across this site and my mum would've been really sad to see me crying, so I try to do the best I can and keep going.
With regards to the other posts about mediums, I have never been to one but would like to at some stage.
Love to everyone on here.

Lynn,
I'm so sorry to read that you've had a bad couple of days and hope you're feeling a bit better now. It's awful when we have these days, but it's to be expected, unfortunately, and somehow we do survive them.
Thinking of you and sending my love to you and everyone else.

That is a beautiful poem, that last verse:
When you’re walking down the street and you’ve got me on your mind,
I’m walking in your footsteps, only half a step behind.
And when it’s time for you to go from that body to be free,
Remember you’re not going, you’re coming here to me.
That really touched me, thank u for posting.... Daisy xxx

Hi amanda, your poem touched me in ways i can't expplain, my mum was called amanda and unfortunately she passed in august this year, just 5 weeks ago, but what you said in your poem, was what my mum would have said, so it was almost as if she was saying it, i really needed to hear that today, thankyou ever so much xx
