Can anyone tell me how to make smaller positive moulds of sections of the face from a full head cast, using only plaster. I need to re use smaller casts repeatedly. I do not want to damage head cast.
Thanks

once you have a head cast and want to reproduce parts of it many times say for prosthetic sculpts ,one way is to use silicon brushed on and backed up with plaster bandage or fibre glass this will save the cast from damage the silicon may need a thixotropic additive this makes it easier to attain a required thickness and stops it running all over the place.
hope this helps
