I am trying to design a custom made gag for my own personal use. I would like it to also include the space between my lips and teeth as king of a mouth guard, if you will. What types of products should I consider for this process (latex and rubber compounds, I'm sure) and what kinds of things, including safety precautions, should I consider in this process. Thanks. An unusual question, I know.

Make sure that you find materials that can be used in the mouth. I would start be using a dental grade alginate, safe to use in the mouth. I'm not sure what kind of rubber you can use, but look into what they make mouth gaurds (for sports) out of. That would be a start anyway. Hopefully someone else will chime in with the knowledge.
