Hi all - I have two quick questions.
I have an application where I will need to create numerous silicone replicas for a medical "prosthetic" application with the following requirements:
1. material must be very lifelike
2. material must be skin-safe for prolonged contact with sensitive skin
3. material should be relatively economical
4. I will need to use the same mold repeatedly
What material do you recommend for the cast or actual part, and what material do you recommend for the mold? As I understand it most of the casting gels are not suitable for multiple uses with silicone.
Thanks and Best Regards!

you can make silicone apliances - platinum based for skin contact. i know this is artmolds supported so the skin rite silicone from there might work well or there is the platsil gel-10 from polytek. i know for a fact that the gel-10 can be used for both the apliance and for the mold. it can even be painted directly on the skin (as can skin rite). just make sure you use a release, vasoline and mineral spirits is good for silicone to silicone. hope this helps
