A good rubber for...

I want to use rubber as a casting material not a mold. Is there a good rubber for this? Preferably one that could be dyed or painted somehow.

Depends on what you're using it for. If you want a life like hand or body part to sit on the table then the PlatSil Gel-10 is great. If you want to have a rubber grenade then the 75-70 is good. Just depends.... you might want to narrow down your question, it's too broad.
