Hello All,
I would be really greatful of some advice on what different type of finishes people use to colour their plaster castings.
Preferably something which is easily obtainable in the UK or Ireland. I have heard of Modern Options and they look great but are impossible to get hold of easily over here.
I have used Rub N Buff which I liked but it is pretty toxic smelling.
I am interested in peoples experiences of using different paints (DecoArt, Revell etc) and any other advice people can offer.
Many Thanks,
Marie

Hi Marie! I live in Ireland and it is difficult to get finishing materials here. I have used automative body paints(not the spray types but the types you use a painting brush). Depending on the colour and brand, they may produce the result you are looking for. I have tried giving two coats of these type of paints and then I slightly use a sandpaper and steel wools to give it the antique look. Good luck!

Thanks Arun,
Nice to here from someone else in Ireland Thanks for the info, I may well give that a try. I have used rub n buff which gives a nice enough finish but not what I have seen from other people and its pretty toxic smelling!
I guess model paints may also work.
Kind Regards,
Marie
