How to impregnate fabric with plaster

I am wanting to make a cast using a piece of suede fabric that has been impregnated with plaster.

Does anyone one have any ideas on how to do it?

I generally do alginate or plaster bandage casts and I thought I might try something different.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

what you do is put the fabric, if it is large enough,on the model or sculpture and cast it right in there with the skin. I honestly dont know about suede or leather but any other fabric you can soak it with corn oil or dishdetergent and cast it as if it was a part of the body. I love doing this now, but also for me it took a while how to figure this out in the beginnening. I had now idea you could cast clothing on the model. a whole new world openend up for me.Hope this helps
