here's a question: i like to add decoration (like vines )in plaster to my plastercasts.
so someone told me i could make a alginate mold of the life model.
pour melted plastacine in it (q1 can i brush this up?) after it cools i can resculp with more plastacine and recast it (q2 with what new alginate?)to make a final cast in plaster. Can i re-use the used and once melted plastacine again and again? or is this toxic. i know you monstermakers use this technique, help me out here allright? What kind of plastacine should i order;
soft, hard ? Thanks for any tips answers and suggestions to inspire me.

if you're brushing the clay up - of course being very, very careful as it is like hot Magma - then you might want to go with a firmer clay so you won't have to make it as thick. Might want to try one of the NSP by Chavant (non-sulfurated). That you can slowly and carefully melt down to cast into whatever. If you're only looking for a one time cast from plaster (your 2nd question) you can take the mold with alginate off the clay. If you would like to do several casts out of plaster or what not, then you could do a permanent mold with a polyurethane rubber or silicone.
Good Luck! Have Fun!
