Thickening up a PLASTER cast

I did a small torso cast, however the sides were not built up on the mold well enough to fill the mold with plaster. So the end result of the final cast was rather thin and brittle. I am trying to thicken this cast up. The model is no longer available for another session to finish the project. However, I am wondering if there is a way to build up the plaster on this cast.

Do I need to make another mold of my plaster cast I have now and try and artificially build a better final cast?
It's about 1/2" thick, but I want the cast to be at least 1" thick (solid)for mounting purposes.

Thanks!

Add white glue to your plaster mix and then apply it to your casting with cheese cloth bandages to help hold it in place. The cheese cloth will also strengthen it.
