I just have a quick question about vacuum pumps, I will be making a homemade vacuum chamber to degas rubber, plaster and algenate.

I am currently looking at getting the following vacuum pump and was wondering if anyone here has ever used the same or similar model, or if you have an opinion about it. The model I am looking at is the CPS Vacuum Pump Model # VP3D, it is a two stage pump, pumps at 3cfm and will create a vacuum down to 15 microns. The website for it is below.

Also, does anyone know a good source, online or otherwise to purchase vacuum pumps with in Canada, Toronto to be specific?

We advise all our customers to acquire a Robinair 4CFM pump. They are fairly inexpensive (About $225) and can be found by googling.

I think you should search google for the same. You will definitely got your solution there.
