I got yelled at for 20 minutes after school today by a mother who's kid has been skipping school. I called her several days in a row leaving messages, and now she's saying I didn't. I guess it's my fault she can't keep track of her kid and keep him from skipping school! geez! She must have a miserable life.

unfortunately I'm not allowed. Parents can say/do whatever they want to us but we have to be "professional" and sit there and take it. I found out later that she's a known drug user. I still think my principal should have backed me more, but he was trying to appease her. Oh well...only 5.5 more school days left!!

Parents were the worst part of my teaching days. Now I'm a receptionist/attendance officer/security guard but still they yell. Must be because "I pay taxes!" or "I pay tuition!" that gives them the right to be so abusive. I always feel sorry for their kids.

and have to deal with parents every day...it really sucks sometimes. Especially when they tell me " I dropped Jimmy off at school, why can't you people keep up with him?" I guess we'll have to treat school like a prison so the kids won't leave!
