According to weather.com, our average rainfall for June is 4.72 inches. So far (and remember its only the 19th) we have had 14.36 inches this month. This is the second year in a row that boats may not make it out on the lakes for the Fourth of July. The water is so high you can't make it under the bridges to get from the marinas to the lakes. My friends have a lake shore cabin with a deck that sits on a rock cliff. For the past two years, the deck has been a swim up bar...
But with all the flood control projects that have been built in the state of Oklahoma, we aren't doing nearly as bad as those along the Mississippi.
