The best concert I've ever been to is The Red Hot Chili Peppers in Philly last year! They're from So Cal, they have lots of energy, great songs, they're cute, they're loud, and they ROCK! And we had the best seats. An awesome time was had by all
So what is the best concert you've ever been too?

Wow, what's the best concert I've been to??? Mind you, I haven't attended many concerts but I enjoyed seeing Chicago (sans Peter Cetera ), Neil Diamond and my favorite----Phil Collins!!! What an entertainer. Too bad that he has given up touring and making albums. I hear he is doing so to spend more time with his family---best wishes to him, when he came to Columbus, he was going through a divorce and JUST had a newborn baby. So sad.
Best concert... well I loved Paul McCartney! I was 2nd row center for The Who reunion tour and that was fab! Oh Tom Petty, RMAS in Vegas, Sammy Hagar with 50 other people in Cabo, John Cougar, Gwen Stefani, No Doubt, Everclear, Matchbox 20 and I could go on (yes, I am a concert-o-holic)..... but the best concert I have been to would have to be Aerosmith and Kiss 2 years ago. I am an Aerosmith girl at heart, seen them at least 8 times, but it wasn't so much the concert that made it great as the company... at that time I took my 17 year old son... who had never heard songs from Toys In The Attic! Ahhhhh the '70's!
Have to add to this.. 2nd best, James Taylor! 2 days after 9-11. Everyone was on edge in the stadium and the only background he had was an American Flag. You could have heard a pin drop when it started and then everyone seemed to rock back and forth in unity. It was truly a treasured moment.

This will show my age, but when I was a young teen I saw Jimi Hendrix...opening for the Monkees!! That was quite a mismatch, but Jimi was amazing. I was also at the (in)famous last concert of the Doors is Miami when Jim Morrison tried to remove his pants (not such a good concert).
I have seen Tina Turner, too (with Ike). She is a dynamo.
My favorite, though, is Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. I went to school in Gainesville, FL where they formed as Mudcrutch.
Cal, I'm jealous. I love the Chili Peppers. I will have to try to see them sometime. Also on my wish list: U2.
I've throughly enjoyed Natalie Cole's performances, same with Gloria Estafan, and a host of others over the years.
Two tie for the best: Frankie Valli & the 4 Seasons with Jay & the Americans in Central Park (Sheaffer Music Festival '73)
and Peter Allen at Radio City MH (1982?).
The SMF in '73 was an event! Thousands in the park on a hot summer night, great music, we got up front to boot!!
The Peter Allen show was amazing. My X and I had only recently heard of him, and got the tickets for our 7th anniversary -
our first night out after our firstborn. He was quite a showman. I was saddened to hear of his passing.
We accidentally locked the keys in the car. 2 NYC cops came by to "help" us & were going to smash the driver's side window until we talked them out of it!

I don't know if it was the best concert, (although it was incredible), but the best thing about seeing Santana when I was 18 was that I did, but my H didn't. (Mind you I didn't meet my H until we were in our late 20s.) So I get to taunt him whenever the subject of concerts comes up at our house. LOL
Peter Paul and Mary, Diana Ross, Tony Bennett, Frankie Avalon The Osmond Family, but my favorite was I treated myself to a Julio Iglesias concert.. because I was alone and I had an aisle seat they asked me if I would be willing to move... they put me in the front row. front and center. a wheelchair fan needed my seat.. talk about being close up and personal..I kept melting..
