I am just finishing an Ambroid kit of a B&M wood snowplow. It is painted and waiting for decal information. I don't have any information on position of the B&M logo or what other information should be on it. Does anyone have a photo or information that could help me finish this model?

Because the logos changed over the years, what years do you want your plow to replicate?

The years I'm modeling are from the late 30's to the mid 40's. I don't think they were used much later than this. Thanks for your quick response.

Most of the W3701 - W3723 Russell built Snowplows were built between 1909 through 1928 were retired in the late 1950's-early 1960's. Of the 23 plows, only ten were single track (#'s W3704, W3705, W3711, W3715, W3717, W3719 through W3723).

Their heralds went through the Roman font Boston & Maine, Gothic Rectangular Herald and, finally, the Minuteman Herald. I don't believe any were painted blue.

A good photo resource would be either the B&MRRHS' Archives in Lowell or the Walker Transportation Collection in Beverly.

Tim,
Do you know where I might obtain a photocopy of one of these plows? I am not able to go to the archives as I am in upstate New York and I need to know the position of the logo, the car number and any other information.
Thanks,
Jim
