What I remember about 1992:

· Meeting Pete and realizing that we could talk for hours and never run out of things to say and to laugh about
· Site 5, where Pete and I spent most of the summer; lots of deep conversations with campers (and some not so deep!) and hopefully making a difference
· The night that Ricky and Evan (I think that’s who it was?) tried to raid the site 5 cabins and Jeroen booby trapped the boy’s cabin and gave the two of them a surprise attack with a super soaker
· Smugglers!
· How the Burchers seemed the perfect fit for Makemie Woods
· Amber filming DC reporting the red truck incident
· Washing Anthony’s Pinto (complete with birdnest) with Jeroen and then Jeroen trying to get it dirty again
· Still not figuring out that canoe thing, or that rope tying thing, either, for that matter
· “Mama I want a biscuit!”

- A defiant young camper insisting angrily, "I been to camps!"
- FAME camp blaming Anthony for the weather.
- Preassembled snake kits.
- An unnamed camper's "life-threatening" tick bite,
and Chris's deep concern: "Is the tick OK?"
