T&T Paradigm 8 1/2' 5wt

I got this rod for Christmas last year. As with all T&T rods, fit and finish are superb. Only Winston, of the major manufacturers, has a similar level of cosmetics. I like this rod for nymphing, and anywhere that a 6wt seems too big, or that my SageLL 5wt seems too delicate. The feel is a little "heavier" than the Sage, but the rod has quite bit of reserve power, and is moderately stiff, befitting nymphing with it. Quick recovery, a little tip heavy, good tracking. As stated, cosmetically it's gorgeous. Dark blue blank, nickel-silver hardware with a rosewood spacer. Even the aluminum tube seems "classy." All in all, a nice rod, would make an excellent overall trout rod, as it's more than capanle of throwing streamers one hour, dries the next. Almost feels like a 5.5wt...Tight lines, Dan
