SM Prime Holdings is bringing in former US Vice President Al Gore to keynote the third staging of the Leadership Conference Seriesa string of lectures aimed at allowing top Philippine leaders from the academe, business, government, and non-government sectors to learn from the experience and expertise of global leaders.

To be held on April 30, 2010 at the SMX Convention Center at SM Mall of Asia Complex, Part 3 of the Leadership Conference Series will have Gore present an Asian version of An Inconvenient Truth, the provocative multi-media presentation on the threat of climate change and solutions to global warming and the subject of the movie of the same title, which has won critical and box-office acclaim. The Academy Award-winning film is already considered one of the top documentary films of all time.

A Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, Gore has just published Our Choice: A Plan to Solve the Climate Crisis, his latest book which gathers in one place all of the most effective available measures that will help solve the climate crisis.

"We have always been committed to environmental preservation. Beyond our many environmental programs, we feel that we can further spread the advocacy by having more people learn about this global problem and how it impacts each and every one of us.

This is why we are bringing in the worlds most influential authority on climate change. We want the urgency of his message to be heard by Filipino leaders as well as Filipinos in general," Hans Sy, president of SM Prime Holdings, said.

Since 1992, SM Prime Holdings and SM Supermalls have embarked on numerous programs to manage consumption of power and energy, water and solid materials in all its mallswhich now number 37 malls nationwide.
