This Law of Giving, Father…
Is not something I had learned.
This egoish world that I knew
Taught me to save what I alone desired.
To look upon “my things” as “my treasures.”
The Law of Love encourages me
To give and I will receive as I have given.
Whom I forgive will fill
My store with Heaven’s treasures
Which alone are real…
Anything that is real is of God.
My forgiven brothers
Fulfill this Law of Love…
As Your Son arises to give and to receive
I will return to You.
God,
How near we are to one another
As we return home to You.
How near You are to me.
How near the ending to my dreams
How close to being this
The redeemed Child of God, amen.
