Lesson #134 “Let me perceive forgiveness as it is.”

(This is a lesson, that you may need to go to your own book and study
until one can see and understand it clearer than I can comment on it.)

Jesus wants us to review the meaning of “to forgive,”
As we have learned to see it is apt to be distorted and to be perceived
As something that entails unfair sacrifice of righteous wrath,
A gift unjustified and undeserved, and a complete denial of truth.
(And I wanted to be fair...when I suggested to study this lesson for yourself?)

Forgiveness stands between ego illusions and the truth.
Between the egoworld we see and that which lies beyond
Between the hell of guilt and Heaven’s gate.

Jesus is telling us what we have been trying to forgive–
Didn’t happen... there is really nothing to forgive.

All truths belong to God,
All truths reflect His Laws,
All truths radiate His Love...

Truth is God’s Creation, and to pardon that is meaningless.
Jesus says the major difficulty that we find in genuine forgiveness on our part,
Is that we still believe we must forgive the truth and not the illusions...
And this is the meaningless.

Forgiveness is the only thing that stands for truth in the illusions of the world.
It sees their nothingness, and looks straight through the thousand forms
In which illusions may appear.
It looks on them with quiet eyes,
And merely says to them,
“My brother, what you think is not the truth.”

ACIM maintains the simple way to find the door to true forgiveness
And perceive that it is open wide to welcome...
When we feel that we want to accuse, to judge, to resist,
To blame in any form
Do not allow our minds to dwell on
What we think they did...
For we are trying to deceive ourSelves.
But instead...ask our HigherSelf:
“Would I accuse myself of doing this?” amen.

*** love...rell
