I am grateful today to be back on the courts of love to start our inner club tennis season.
I was grateful to have no more cavities for the dentist to deal with or me.
I was grateful to visit with Grand Daughter before she left for cheer leading practice. Luckily my timing was just right to get in a short after school visit.
I am grateful to open the course this morning to Ch 21 to the first segment: “Forgotten Song.”
What is a miracle but this remembering? I really think that these prgs 8-10, need be poetry..
Beyond the body, beyond the sun and stars,
past everything I see and yet somehow familiar,
is an arc of golden light that stretches
as I look into a great and shining circle.
And all the circle fills with light before my eyes.
The edges of the circle disappear,
and what is in it is no longer contained at all.
The light expands and covers everything,
extending to infinity forever shining
and with no break or limit anywhere.
Within it everything is joined in perfect continuity.
Nor is it possible to imagine that anything could be outside,
for there is nowhere that this light is not.
This is the vision of the Son of God, whom we know well.
Here is the sight of him who knows his Father.
Here is the memory of what I am;
a part of this, with all of it within,
and joined to all as surely as all is joined in me.
Accept the vision that can show me this,
and not the body.
I know the ancient song, and know it well.
Nothing will ever be as dear to me
as is this ancient hymn of love
the Son of God sings to his Father still.
What is a miracle but this remembering?
And who is there in whom this memory lies not?
The light in one awakens it in all.
And when I see it in my brother,
I am remembering for everyone.
I am grateful to feel the rhyme and reason of these lines as part of my remembering as my mind spirals vertically aligning with the Universal love, that we were born to be…rell
