Lesson 203…I am not a body. I am free. For I am still as God created me

by

Beyond such special applications of each day's idea, we will add but a few formal expressions or specific thoughts to aid in practicing. Instead, we give these times of quiet to the Teacher Who instructs in quiet, speaks of peace, and gives our thoughts whatever meaning they may have.

Jesus offers this review for all of us. Jesus places us in Holy Spirit’s charge, and let Him teach us what to do and say and think, each time we turn to Him. HolySpirit will not fail to be available to us, each time we call to Him to help us.

Let us offer HolySpirit the whole review we now begin.
Let us also not forget to Whom it has been given.
We will practice day by day,
And advance toward the goal He set for us.
Allowing Him to teach us how to go.
Trusting Him completely for the way each practice period
Can best become a loving gift of freedom to the world.

Lesson 203…

I am not a body. I am free. For I am still as God created me

(183) I call upon God's Name and on my own.

The Name of God is my deliverance from every thought of evil and of sin, because it is my own as well as His.

I am not a body.
I am free.
For I am still as God created me.

lesson 202...I am not a body. I am free. For I am still as God created me.

by

In these practice sessions, like our last review, we are centered round a central theme with which we start and end each lesson.

It is this:

I am not a body.
I am free.
For I am still as God created me.

The day begins and ends with this. And we repeat it every time the hour strikes, or we remember, in between, we have a function that transcends the world we see. Beyond this, and a repetition of the special thought we practice for the day, no form of exercise is urged, except a deep relinquishment of everything that clutters up the mind, and makes it deaf to reason, sanity and simple truth.

We will attempt to get beyond all words and special forms of practicing for this review. For we attempt, this time, to reach a quickened pace along a shorter path to the serenity and peace of God. We merely close our eyes, and then forget all that we thought we knew and understood. For thus is freedom given us from all we did not know and failed to understand.

There is but one exception to this lack of structuring. Permit no idle thought to go unchallenged. If you notice one, deny its hold and hasten to assure your mind that this is not what it would have. Then gently let the thought which you denied be given up, in sure and quick exchange for the idea we practice for the day.

When you are tempted, hasten to proclaim your freedom from temptation, as you say:

This thought I do not want. I choose instead ___

And then repeat the idea for the day, and let it take the place of what you thought.

LESSON 202.

I am not a body. I am free. For I am still as God created me.

(182) I will be still an instant and go home.

Why would I choose to stay an instant more where I do not belong, when God Himself has given me His Voice to call me home?

I am not a body.
I am free.
For I am still as God created me.

Part III of Intro, and lesson 201

by

This is our 5th review. We take but one idea each day, and practice it as often as is possible. Besides the time you give morning and evening, which should not be less than fifteen minutes, and the hourly remembrances you make throughout the day, use the idea as often as you can between them. Each of these ideas alone would be sufficient for salvation, if it were learned truly. Each would be enough to give release to you and to the world from every form of bondage, and invite the memory of God to come again.

With this in mind we start our practicing, in which we carefully review the thoughts the Holy Spirit has bestowed on us in our last twenty lessons. Each contains the whole curriculum if understood, practiced, accepted, and applied to all the seeming happenings throughout the day. One is enough. But from that one, there must be no exceptions made. And so we need to use them all and let them blend as one, as each contributes to the whole we learn.

These practice sessions, like our last review, are centered round a central theme with which we start and end each lesson.

…Lesson #201

I am not a body. I am free. For I am still as God created me.

(181) I trust my brothers, who are one with me.

No one but is my brother. I am blessed with oneness with the universe and God, my Father, one Creator of the whole that is my Self, forever One with me.

I am not a body. I am free. For I am still as God created me.

Here is my declaration of release from the egoworld.
Such is all the egoworld released.
The egoworld wanted to jail me…[I wanted to let it think it could… ]
Now I know,
This Son of God cannot be imprisoned.

We will not escape the egoworld
As long as we deny God…
Or, deny our Identity as a Child of God.

It is only a game we’ve learned to play
When we deny our Identity…
We are as God created us.
Think of this idea today…
“I am the holy Child of God.”
And we will rise above the egoillusions of the world.

Think this one holy thought with God:
“I am the holy Son of God.”
And we can be free.
We are the holy Children of God
And cannot be imprisoned…
Except our deceptive thoughts can jail our minds.

Intro to Lesson 200 - -220...Part I

Introduction: Lessons 200 - 220

For this review we take but one idea each day, and practice it as often as is possible. {{{rell, me, wants to encourage the readers that in this segment the Teacher/Him/His/Whom/Who are all Capitalized because, in this case, the references are to the Holy Spirit.

I'd like to also reiterate that Holy Spirit was one of our Gifts from God. For this retraining of our thinking for us who are willing, we need an intermediary between us and God. Most of us have been taught that we can never be close to God. Therefore, Holy Spirit will be there for us until we erase that mind thought.

This is also where the page 90 prayer is so powerful. One can tell Holy Spirit that we must have decided wrongly and know that Holy Spirit will undo the Consequences, but couldn't fathom the idea that God would do that for us. rell

Lesson #200 “There is no peace except the peace of God.”

by

Lesson #200 “There is no peace except the peace of God.”

What kind of peace do you really think you could find anywhere else,
Except the peace of God?
Seek no further…that is a losing scene.
There is nothing else for us to find…anywhere else,
Except the peace of God!

In seeking the peace of God
We can ask easily for love, for happiness,
For external life in peace that has no ending.
Ask for the peace of God, you can only win.
(I love the following line…….. )
{{{{{{To ask for what we have already must succeed!}}}}}}

There is no peace but the peace of God.
Peace is a bridge everyone will cross to leave this egoworld behind.
Peace is the answer to conflicting goals.
Peace is the answer to senseless journeys…
Frantic and vain pursuits are simply meaningless endeavors.

God alone will guide our steps.
He will not desert His Son, nor,
Let him stray from his earthly home.
As we look up and on toward Heaven
With the body’s eyes, serving us only an instant more…
We can feel the softest embrace surrounding our hearts
And surrounding our minds with comfort and with love.
Today we seek no further for idols.
We now know peace cannot be found in them.
The peace of God is ours,
We want only this,
And this is all we will accept…amen!

“There is no peace except the peace of God,
And I am glad and thankful it is so.”

ACIM lesson #199 “I am not a body I am free.”

by

lesson #199 “I am not a body I am free.”

There is so much more to our minds
Than there is to our bodies.
The mind has no limitations.
The body is a limit.

Whether we are in a body or whether we are not
The body has no limitations on us or our minds.
The mind is free, when it knows what the body is for…
When the mind no longer sees itself as a body.

Yes, this body this mind is in, has a purpose…
But it is not who or what we are.

The body has very limited use by HolySpirit,
Although the mind that serves HolySpirit
Is unlimited in all ways…
Even unlimited beyond the laws of space or time.
This mind when serving HolySpirit
Has the strength and power to do what it is asked.

Attack thoughts cannot enter such a mind
That has been given to the Source of love.
Fear can never attach itself to a mind
That has attached itself to love.

Declare your innocence and you are free.
The body disappears…because we have no need
Except the need HolySpirit sees.
Here the body’s usefulness is for what the mind must do.
It is now expected to be the modality
Which helps forgiveness be according to God’s plan.

Cherish this idea today.
Practice it today and everyday.
Let this be a part of every practice period.
The HolySpirit is the home of the minds seeking freedom.
We who sought freedom found it in HolySpirit.
The body’s need is merely unambiguous…
The body is now perfect to serve an undivided goal.

We are made in an image of God.
We are His Son, and as such
We are as spirit such as is God.
As spirit we will live in immortality forever…amen!

ACIM lesson #198 “Only my condemnation injures me.”

by

lesson #198 “Only my condemnation injures me.”

When we condemn ourselves we make ourselves prisoners to ego.
When we forgive ourselves we are freed.

Forgiveness points to where the truth must be.
It gives direction with the certainty of God HimSelf.
Forgiveness is a dream in which the Son of God
Awakens to his TrueSelf and to his Father,
Knowing They are one.

Forgiveness is the only road that leads us out of disaster.
Isn’t is wonderful to thank the One Who gives us salvation?
We are learning to accept His gift with Gratitude.
Isn’t it the Honoring of ourSelves
To hear HolySpirit and learn the simple lessons
He would teach?
HolySpirit’s words contain all hope…
All blessings and all joy.
HolySpirit’s words are born in God,
And come to us with Heaven’s love.

Today our practice is letting Freedom
Come into our hearts.

“Only my condemnation injures me
Only my forgiveness sets me free.”

We come still nearer to the of end of everything
That stands between God’s vision and our sight.
Are you pleased to be this far?
Aren’t you pleased to know that we will not be forsaken?
Aren’t you please to feel deliverance is now?
God does not condemn us…nor should we
Forgiveness set us free from that self-condemnation
That each of us learned so well.
Now we do know how to be free…

by

SELF-CONDEMNATION KEEPS US BACK

People who are honestly trying to follow the spiritual life often make the mistake of being too hard on themselves. Because they do not seem to be progressing as fast as they would naturally like, or because they find themselves repeating some old fault that they thought they had completely overcome, they feel discouraged, and condemn themselves mercilessly.

All this is foolish. If you are doing your best to use what Truth you know, at present, you are doing all that you have a right to expect of yourself.

Don't be impatient with yourself-but this does not mean that you are to be lazy or complacent. Handle yourself as a wise parent handles an obstreperous child-kindly, patiently, but with gentle firmness, not expecting too much too quickly, but foreseeing inevitable growth and improvement.

We are all the Children of the most High (Psalm 82)

Fox from “Around The Year” in the early 1930’s…

Lesson #197 “It can be but Gratitude I earn.”

by

Lesson #197 “It can be but Gratitude I earn.”

(Yesterday’s lesson was step one and today’s is on step two.)

Which was: {It is but me I crucify…it is but me I fear.}
We were asked to: {Step back from fear and advance towards love.}

This lesson asks that we free our minds from the belief
That outside forces are riding our cases.

“We think others are attacking us and
We want to think that we are ‘not’ attacking them…
Then we make attempts at kindness and forgiveness.
And turn this into attacks again.
How do I do that, you say?

Unless we find external gratitude and lavish thanks,
How easily are gratitude and guilt confused by us
Because we know not what our thoughts can really do!”

The beauty of Gratitude is, when, whatever we offer,
It is offered because we are Grateful…
Not because we expect something…or, any thing.
No have no need for thankyness,
Nor staying with our giving,
No advice on what to do with our offer.
It’s like we are to give our gift,
And definitely no strings attached.

If any above are included…
We are essentially taking back our offer of the gift.

Our Gratitude is all our gifts require.
It does not matter if we did not get thanked…
Or, if they thought it was tacky or unworthy.
This does not matter if our gifts were not honored.

It is us who honor them out of our own HigherSelves
And they had a fitting thanks…
When we received them so we could extend,
Remembering then how Grateful we were?

In all of this gratitude they are accepted Universally
And thankfully acknowledged by God HimSelf.

Would you take anything back from God?

What we give, it is our Goodness/Godness
Giving to others Goodness/Godness
Like us looking into our own mirrors.
So again, would you take anything back from God?
{{Could we?}}

Our Gratefulness is blessed by God.
Every gift we give another is given to God
And is given to ourSelves.

God’s gifts have never left us.
Gratitude remains a part of love.
Thanks be to us, God’s holy Children.
We were created with all things within our HigherSelf.
And we are still as God created us.
In our hearts is the heart of God.
God holds us dear.
Because we are Him.
All Gratitude belongs to us because of what we are.

In Gratitude I come here each day,
Giving of my HigherSelf, taking from Yours!
How can it get any better?

Emmet Fox’s “Children of The Most High”

by

Is this the lesson for Emmet Fox’s “Children of The Most High”?

CHILDREN OF THE MOST HIGH

Read Matthew 7:7-11, suggests Emmet Fox

This is the wonderful passage in which Jesus enunciates
the primary truth of the Fatherhood of God.
He says here, definitely and clearly, that
the real relationship of God and man is that of parent and child.
It is extremely difficult to realize the far-reaching importance
that this declaration holds for the life of the soul.
It is axiomatic, of course, that the offspring must be of
the same nature and species as the parent;
and so if God and man are indeed Father and child,
man must be essentially divine too,
and susceptible of infinite development
up the rising pathway of divinity.
That is to say, as man's true nature unfolds,
he will expand in spiritual consciousness
until he has transcended all bounds of human imagination.
It is in reference to our glorious destiny,
that Jesus himself says elsewhere, quoting the older scriptures:

Jesus answered them, "Is it not written in your law,
I said, “Ye are gods?”

If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came,
And the scripture cannot be broken...

(John 10:34-35) In my naborhoods scripture is broken all the time,
how is it in yours?

Lesson #196 “I can be but me I crucify.

by

Lesson #196 “I can be but me I crucify.”

One of Marianne Williamson’s great lines in “A Return To Love,”
She talks about lower self-directed anger.
Claiming we beat ourselves up better than any one else.

If we could’ve read this text in entirety…
And be on at least our 2nd take at these lessons,
We could bring today’s Idea into full awareness.
We would neither harms ourSelves in any way,
Nor, would we ever think of lower self-flagellation again.

We have crucified ourselves long enough.
Crucifixion is our hopeless thinking that we can attack others,
And escape nailing ourselves to our own cross.

This Idea today teaches us we are not an ego.
We will tolerate the lower self-deception no further.
We will know we are not a body to be crucified.
We will look past all thoughts of death
To thoughts of freedom, liberty, and life!

This step takes us from ego’s bondage
To the state of perfect freedom.
As we take these steps in sequence
Our mind relinquishes it burdens one by one.
These steps ask only for our willingness.

As long as we fear crucifying…
We believed the fear of God was real.
Just as we thought we could attack another
And then be free ourselves…No. Not so.

If we can get this step today to saturate us …
And go back to the workbook and need let our eyes
See this message, and go into silence
To let this message become part of us.

If we but understand that we can only be hurt
By our own thinking, the fear of God
Will certainly disappear!

In this lesson today we will “Real eyes,”
That it is but ourselves we fear!

Each may need to find our own method
Of re-owning/redeeming our HigherSelves.
We will know when this is fairly completed
When no one’s criticisms can affect us.

It is but us that our mind crucifies.
It is but us that our redemption comes from, too.

Lesson #195 “Love is the way I walk in Gratitude.”

by

Lesson #195 “Love is the way I walk in Gratitude.”

Gratitude is a hard lesson for many of us to learn.
It is so easy to feel superior to others…
Taking the stance of less than/more than.
This is like seeing others in more misery/less misery than we…?
This is like seeing others in more abundance or more scarcity that we…?
Or, seeing other’s pains more or less severe than ours?
Or, how low or high we go on our “Pedestal”
To make those judgmental decisions to give us our worth…
( I betcha didn’t realize those were our measuring sticks to seek our worth?)

Jesus maintains it is insane to offer thanks for suffering…
And equally insane to fail in Gratitude.
We get to go to HolySpirit who offers us a way off of that “Pedestal?”

Jesus says Love makes no comparisons.
Gratitude is only sincere if linked to Love.
There is no freedom while we see others bound.
We cannot bargain in the name of Love.

We will let our Gratitude make room
For all who get free with us.
The sick, the weak, the needy, the afraid…
And those who mourn a seeming loss and feeling pain
Or walk with hunger or suffer cold or heat,
Or walk the way of death with hatred and with pain.
All that are there we see like this go with us…
For when we compare ourselves in any way…
We then are separating those from us.

We thank God today for one thing a lone;
That we are not separate from any living thing
Therefore…we are one with Him.
We rejoice with God that no exceptions can be made.
We are grateful for every living thing.
Otherwise, we are not offering thankfulness for anything.
Whereby failing to receive our gifts from God.

We walk in Gratitude today the way of love.
Hatred is forgotten when we do not compare.
The fear of God is undone
When we forgive without comparisons!

When forgiveness is complete
We will feel total Gratitude.
We begin to see that every thing and every one has
The right to love by being loving…as our HigherSelves.

Today we learn there are no comparisons in Gratitude.
We have all been given everything.
If we refuse to recognize it all
We are not entitled to be bitter
Or, in that place of merciless pursuit…
Where one feels lower self-pity or victimized.
God cares for us all…equally!
God calls us all His Children.
God gives thanks to us for being what we are…
His own completion and Source for reciprocal love.

And our love can walk this road of Gratitude
And thus we walk to God…amen!

Lesson #194 “I place the future in the hands of God.”

by

Lesson #194 “I place the future in the hands of God.”

This lesson is a giant step
Covering the greatest distance
Setting us down just short of Heaven.
This is the quiet place of peace.
This is where we await with certainty…
This final step of God.

Can you just feel this journey getting shorter?
Can you just know the goal?
Are you still filled with anxiety?
All the pits of “our hell?”
All our blackness of our depression or sadness?
All devastation brought on by our guilt?
Accept today’s Idea!
In one instant…all are gone.
There is only love.

In this world our temporal progression still feels real.
We are not asked to understand any of this…
(how could we out of our present Belief System?)
We are but asked to let the future go
And place it in God’s Hands.
Yes, we have laid the past there, too.

Release the future…the past is gone.

When we can see this lesson
As the swift deliverance it really is,
We wouldn’t hesitate to give arduous
And consistent effort to have this lesson be a part of us.

Would you have any worries?…fears?…pains?
If we placed them all in God’s Hands?

Oh! The freedom we do have with God!
For those who have gone past all fear
Of future pain has found our way
To this present peace.
Now…if and when we feel we’ve deceived ourselves…
Long enough about “outdoing” God…
We are free to choose God’s Hands again.
In other words to change our minds again!

If and when we will place the future in the hands of God…
Then know every unforgiving thought will be
Replaced with truth and love…

Lesson #193 “All things are lessons God would have me learn.”

Lesson #193 “All things are lessons God would have me learn.”

God does not know of learning.
Eh-Gad, after having learned to learn…
(Now it is merely unlearning…LOL
God Will’s His Son be happy.
Eternally open and limitless in Him…
Eternal and ever gaining exploration…
Eternally opening up to joy!.

God sees no contradictions.
Yet, his Sons, us, sure think He does.
And in order to know God
We need some help
From One Who can help our errors.

God does not perceive.
Yet God gives us the means
For our awareness of Him.

“All things are lessons God would have us learn.”
God’s Will reflect all of these lessons
As they reflect only love.

“Forgive and we will see this differently.”

We can tell when we haven’t got “it” yet.
Is when we can see other’s faults.
And other’s failure to learn these lessons.
Can we still perceive pain as real?
If so, we just haven’t quite got “it” yet.
This unforgiveness lurking in the mind
Remains in denial ‘til we learn these lessons
God would have us learn.

We will “attempt” to overcome the 1000
Seeming obstacles to peace in just one day!
As we practice today
Let us think over all the things
Saved up to settle by ourselves.
Keeping them apart from healing.
We will give them all to HolySpirit, (Page 90 prayer)
Who knows how to undo all the consequences.
Truth is HolySpirit’s message
Truth is His teaching
HolySpirit has the lessons God would have us learn.

The lessons God would have us learn…
There is another way to look upon everything.
That will give us another step towards Him,
And to the salvation of the world.

“I will forgive and this will disappear.”

These words are the key
That will open Heaven’s gate
Bringing the Love of God
Down to earth at last
To raise the love up to Heaven.

God will take the final step Himself.

“I will forgive and these hatreds will disappear.”

Lesson #192 “I have a function God would have me fill.”

Lesson #192 “I have a function God would have me fill.”

It is our Father’s holy Will that we complete Himself.
He Wills our HigherSelves shall be His sacred Sons
Pure as He,
Created and preserved in love eternally,
Extending love,
Forever one with God,
And with our HigherSelf.

Forgiveness represents our function here.
Forgiveness is the means by which untruths are undone.

God simply waits for us to return to be acknowledged…
We need only be willing to acknowledge
Our HigherSelves!
God already has!

Forgiveness of us to us for our investments in the egoworld,
In death, in sin, in hate, and guilt.
We can at last come to terms with this body
Is but a teaching aid to be laid by someday
When our forgiveness of ourselves is complete.

Forgiveness can restore the peace
That God intended for His holy Sons.
Forgiveness will persuade the Son to look
Again upon this holiness…that we were born to be.

{{{{My greatest forgiveness of me, rell, dealt
With the thoughts of separation and conditional love.
The more I feel part of God’s completeness
The closer I feel to God…
And know His unconditional love.}}}}

Our understanding can be so limited
That what I think I understand
Is but confusion in a comedy of errors…
And I giggle lots as I get free…

Never would I have known my “not forgiveness”
Was me imprisoning me.
I jailed me.
I was the jailer of me.

I hold me and others prisoner in reverence
Every time I feel a stab of anger.
As I “real eyes” it is but I
Holding my guillotine over my head.
It can fall or be useless
Or, I can choose to free me.

Everyone who brings out anger in me
Is actuallly my savior.
Whereby I can at last begin to be free…
***by:
a) forgiving me for deciding wrongly
b) and going to HolySpirit with my page 90 prayer
c) and HolySpirit will undo all the consequences for me.

Those of us have forgiven everyone we see
Or think of, or “imagine we have wronged,”
Or, “imagined they have wronged us,” are set free.

{{{Those of us who are reborn in our Christness,
It is our desires to be merciful to us/ourselves
And to show our mercy to everyone we see.

Our function here in this body
Is to forgive us/ourselves
As we take back our Identity
“I am as God created me.”…amen}}}
