#306 “The gift of Christ is all I seek today.”

by

#306 “The gift of Christ is all I seek today.”

And Jesus asks:
What but Christ's vision would I use today, when it can offer me a day in which I see a world so like to Heaven that an ancient memory returns to me? Today I can forget the world I made. Today I can go past all fear, and be restored to love and holiness and peace. Today I am redeemed, and born anew into a world of mercy and of care; of loving kindness and the peace of God.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I, rell, ask: What is there that keeps my mind from remembering that ancient memory that shows me what is available to me?
What is there that keeps my mind focusing on this world that I made?
What hold does it have on me, when I do know so well that the world of God’s Love is all I want, is all I need?
I am going past fear at a fast momentum,
But it is seeing Love like God does, that seems to keep slowing me up…
I still seem to have judgments about many of God’s ideas…
His Ideas that have never left their Source…
His many opportunities to see me as He sees me…
The many opportunities to love me as He loves me.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And so, as Jesus prays, “Our Father, we return to You, remembering we never went away; remembering Your holy gifts to us. In gratitude and thankfulness we come, with empty hands and open hearts and minds, asking but what You give. We cannot make an offering sufficient for Your Son. But in Your Love the gift of Christ is his…amen”

And now I know…my hands are not empty yet …rell

#304 “Let not my world obscure the sight of Christ.”

by

#304 “Let not my world obscure the sight of Christ.”

Jesus tells me that:
I can obscure my holy sight, if I intrude my world upon it. Nor can I behold the holy sights Christ looks upon, unless it is His vision that I use. Perception is a mirror, not a fact. And what I look on is my state of mind, reflected outward. I would bless the world by looking on it through the eyes of Christ. And I will look upon the certain signs that all my sins have been forgiven me.
#####
Oh, Yes, I am obscuring my holy sight
As I let my ego ways intrude on how I, rell, sees those whom I love…
Or do not want to love,
Instead of beholding them in the holy sights of Christ…
Oh, Yes, it is happening to those I do
Or think that I do not look upon…
On a constant malingering tempo.
This tempo is beating a deafening drumbeat deep into my heart,
In honor of the ego’s cacophonous disharmony.
I know that this is keeping me from hearing God’s holy Thoughts.
I wonder how long I will tolerate this dissonance
Instead of the Harmony of the Light Fantastic tempo
Of Jesus and I dancing the melodies of the Universal rhapsody
Of the music of the angels as I beseech them more earnestly?
As I touch my available radiance so reverently?
Moving from my ego driven mind to that of holiness?

Jesus prays with me that I may be led from that darkness to the light…
That rell’s memory be restored so tenderly:

“You lead me from the darkness to the light; from sin to holiness. Let me forgive, and thus receive salvation for the world. It is Your gift, my Father, given me to offer to Your holy Son, that he may find again the memory of You, and of Your Son as You created him…amen.”

lesson #303 “The holy Christ is born in me today.”

lesson #303 “The holy Christ is born in me today.”

rell: Jesus is beseeching the angels to watch with him:
And God’s holy Thoughts to surround him…
Apparently it must require Stillness, also,
for this son rell to make a turn around.
But for me to be reborn, for me to hear God’s holy Thoughts.
It’s like I may need surround sound
Or surround thinking for me to get God’s messages of Love.

I, too, will beseech the angels today.
I, too, desire the holy Christ be born in me today.
I wonder if the earthly sounds could quieten enough,
Could I possibly hear God’s holy Thoughts?

Jesus: Watch with me, angels, watch with me today.
Let all God's holy Thoughts surround me,
and be still with me while Heaven's Son is born.
Let earthly sounds be quiet,
and the sights to which I am accustomed disappear.
Let Christ be welcomed where He is at home.
And let Him hear the sounds He understands,
and see but sights that show His Father's Love.
Let Him no longer be a stranger here,
for He is born again in me today.

And Jesus prays with us:

“Your Son is welcome, Father. He has come to save us from the evil self we made. He is the Self that You have given us. He is but what we really are in truth. We are the Son You love above all things. We are our Self as You created us. It is not Christ that can be crucified. Safe in Your Arms let us receive Your Son…amen”

I THINK I’LL TRY TO PRAY

I THINK I’LL TRY TO PRAY
by: Rella W. Hawkins

Dear God, it’s all right,
I am only hurtin’
The pain is very deep, God
That is for certain.

They tell that you care, God
That you provide relief
But not for me God
I’ve got no belief.

Where do I go from here, God
Back to the pain?
This hole is so empty, God
I caint feel no gain.

I wont ask for help, God
You just aren’t there
I’m only a failure, God
Why should you care?

OUCH! That bolt hurt, God!
You just knocked me off my bunk
No, God, I’ve never heard
That you don’t make junk.

Me listen to you God?
Say that again
You want me to stand up?
How would I begin?

I’ve laid here so long, God
In my muck and misery
I’ve wallowed for some time
In my safe self pity.

You’ve been there for ever, God
Let me hear that once more
You have available treasures?
Just for me in your store?

Are you just joshin’ me God?
Like everyone else will
I am an easy target for them, God
I‘m sorta silent and still.

I am thick headed, too, God
Opinionated, obnoxious, obtuse
I can always come up
With another legitimate excuse.

You will hold me in your arms, God
For as long as it will take?
You will erase every pain, God?
That has made my heart break?

Your arms feel secure, God.
Please don’t set me free.
I’ve waited for ever, God
For this kind of a Mom-mee.

Keep me safe forever, God.
I am feeling inner peace
Hold me tighter and firmer, God
Until all pains and pities cease.

You call this love, God?
You say I’ve done no wrong?
You don’t condemn me, God?
Have I prayed too long?

God, are you ready for me?
I have heard my own prayer.
I can feel your love now.
God...for you, I’ll go anywhere.

lesson #302 “Where darkness was I look upon the light.”

As Jesus continues to pray these prayers of faithfulness and trust…I, rell, cease to be amazed that the affect his praying is having on me:

“Father, our eyes are opening at last. Your holy world awaits us, as our sight is finally restored and we can see. We thought we suffered. But we had forgot the Son whom You created. Now we see that darkness is our own imagining, and light is there for us to look upon. Christ's vision changes darkness into light, for fear must disappear when love has come. Let me forgive Your holy world today, that I may look upon its holiness and understand it but reflects my own…amen”

rell: As I commence to open my eyes, peering about most cautiously these last 25 years, taking in these lessons of Jesus, wishing I could have grasped each word with more intensity, could walk his walk with less straddling, could focus with God’s Vision with His clarity, and offer enough willingness that I would have made it…all the way…but, rell, you just haven’t. But I bet they, Jesus and God, both…are still, grinning at my grasping as well as I have been able to do so.

Jesus continues with: Our Love awaits us as we go to Him, and walks beside us showing us the way. He fails in nothing. He the End we seek, and He the Means by which we go to Him.

ashley smith, our teacher

by

Has anyone noticed that a young woman named Ashley Smith just demonstrated with flawless grace the core principles of ACIM? In a nightmare situation with a courthouse killer, she dropped all judgment and began relating to the divine self within Nichols. The result - a nightmare event resolved into perfect peace. What began as a terrifying kidnapping became a holy encounter.

Wow. What a teaching this woman gave us all!!!!

The Law of Love, from Agnes Sanford's book, "The Healing Light." 1947

by

I knew that I'd scanned this piece from Agnes's book, and have known that this could happen...I started reading Agnes's works waaaayyy earllly in my life, and then along came the Course...rell

The Law of Love,
By: Agnes Sanford
from her book “The Healing Light”

A certain engineer was once surveying in a field when a bull charged his party with lowered head and thundering hoofs. There was no trees to climb. There was no fence to jump. So the engineer stood his ground, filled his mind with the love of God and projected it to the bull.

"I am God's man and you are God's bull," he thought in silence. "God made both of us, and seeing the Christness of Jesus in you, big bull, I say that there is nothing but loving-kindness between us.”

The bull stopped abruptly. For a moment he looked about uncertainly, as if confused. Then he wandered off and lay down peacefully under a bush. And all that day as the men prospected in the field he grazed quietly behind them, as if he enjoyed their presence.

“Will you tell me what you did to that bull!" asked a farm boy who was holding the rod for the surveyor. "That was a mad bull if I ever saw one. Will you tell me what you did to him?" ("I can believe every story in that book except the one about the bull," a lady once said to me. But the engineer was my brother, and the story is true.)

The farm boy had seen, for the first time, the working of that force that will eventually take the place of bombs and shells upon this earth. For as soon as enough people are able to use the power of love in such a way as to create thereby a perfect self-defense, wars will be outmoded. When one can obtain justice and right and friendly cooperation without money and without price, without bloodshed and without pain, it will no longer be Sensible to fight for them.

"If an armed burglar broke into your house with intent to kill," the old question goes, "what would you do? Fight him, or lie still and let him kill your wife or child?"

Silly old question exclaims Agnes, “One would do neither. One would project into the burglar's mind the love of God, by seeing bias a child of God and asking God to bless him. And if one were strong enough in faith and love, the burglar's mind would change. He would leave the family unharmed and go away.

"But hardly anyone can do that!" the answer comes.

Obviously. For if we could, we would not need to resort to war in order to defend ourselves. Agnes maintains that we had best learn to do it, for until we do, we must suffer. Until we know the method of love and brotherhood, our choice of weak non-resistance or self-defense is only a choice of evils.
A new age is being born. The day has come when love-power, at the command of ministers and surveyors and children-and-everyone, is sufficient to change hearts here and there in the world about them.

 This is the beginning of a new order. It is the dawning of a new day!

#301 “And God Himself shall wipe away all tears.”

lesson #301 “And God Himself shall wipe away all tears.”

As Jesus prays with us regarding judgments…

“Father, unless I judge I cannot weep. Nor can I suffer pain, or feel I am abandoned or unneeded in the world. This is my home because I judge it not, and therefore is it only what You will. Let me today behold it uncondemned, through happy eyes forgiveness has released from all distortion. Let me see Your world instead of mine. And all the tears I shed will be forgotten, for their source is gone. Father, I will not judge Your world today…amen.”

rell: Apparently, as we put any sort of judgment call on any thing of God, we are essentially saying, “God, you are not right about this, but we are.” I’m shuddering as I recall judgment after judgment that I have so willingly made. Here is where I’m so thrilled about lesson #46, first line says, “God does not forgive, because He does not condemn…” Don’t you know I love it? If only Ida learned to quit judging years ago…If God has never condemned me, why should I continue to condemn me?

Jesus adds:
God's world is happy. Those who look on it can only add their joy to it, and bless it as a cause of further joy in them. We wept because we did not understand. But we have learned the world we saw was false, and we will look upon God's world today.

Christ's Second Coming, from the Workbook

by

(Workbook)

Christ's Second Coming, which is sure as God, is merely the correction of mistakes, and the return of sanity. It is a part of the condition that restores the never lost, and re-establishes what is forever and forever true. It is the invitation to God's Word to take illusion's place; the willingness to let forgiveness rest upon all things without exception and without reserve.
It is the all-inclusive nature of Christ's Second Coming that permits it to embrace the world and hold you safe within its gentle advent, which encompasses all living things with you. There is no end to the release the Second Coming brings, as God's creation must be limitless. 3Forgiveness lights the Second Coming's way, because it shines on everything as one. And thus is oneness recognized at last.

The Second Coming ends the lessons that the Holy Spirit teaches, making way for the Last Judgment, in which learning ends in one last summary that will extend beyond itself, and reaches up to God. The Second Coming is the time in which all minds are given to the hands of Christ, to be returned to spirit in the name of true creation and the Will of God.

The Second Coming is the one event in time which time itself can not affect. For every one who ever came to die, or yet will come or who is present now, is equally released from what he made. In this equality is Christ restored as one Identity, in which the Sons of God acknowledge that they all are one. And God the Father smiles upon His Son, His one creation and His only joy.

Pray that the Second Coming will be soon, but do not rest with that. It needs your eyes and ears and hands and feet. It needs your voice. And most of all it needs your willingness. Let us rejoice that we can do God's Will, and join together in its holy light. Behold, the Son of God is one in us, and we can reach our Father's Love through Him.

I'm back

by Dave

I just wanted to say Hi!

I have been doing very well with the course lately. I actually enjoy it this time around. I even look forward to it everyday. It has even helped me to learn to control my emotions a little better.

I joined a discussion group. My first time was today. It was interesting to see people and their versions of what the text meant to them. One man has even been doing the course for over 15 years which I was interested in. He seemed very calm.

I have one question. What is a good definition of an attack thought?

Thanks,
Dave

I have one question. What is a good definition of an attack thought?

by Patrick S

attack, attack thoughts: These include any and all attempts to blame others for all our inner (and outer) problems, errors and conflicts by shifting onto those others our guilt, fears and all dark, negative feelings (our shadow archetype). Attacks on others are accompanied by some form of anger of which there are many--from mild irritation to violent rage. Blaming others in any situation and attacking them (even if only in our thoughts) is a psychological projection of our own shadow (dark) side, which in turn is caused by our fears--often of scarcity, or lack of ego-love. The most fundamental fear we have is that of aloneness (loneliness) which comes from our separation from God, and most attacking behaviors are directed at those whom we feel are depriving us of ego-substitutes for "love" in one of its many human forms, such as affection, money, pleasure, health, freedom, etc. In other words we usually try to force a "love" (in one form or another) from those we attack, a course of action which is ridiculous and insane. To counteract our desire to attack we have to learn to forgive everyone; we must realize there is an abundance of everything, including God's Love, for everyone, everywhere. Everyone is the Christ and created by God. (See also: guilt, hate)

Projection means anger, anger fosters assault, and assault promotes fear. (T-6.I.3:3)
I [Jesus] have repeatedly emphasized that the ego does believe it can attack God, and tries to persuade you that you have done this. If the mind cannot attack, the ego proceeds perfectly logically to the belief that you must be a body. (T-7.VI.8:1-2)
If you will recognize that all the attack you perceive [coming from others] is in your own mind and nowhere else, you will at last have placed its source, and where it begins it must end. (T-12.III.10:1)
Remember that those who attack are poor. Their poverty asks for gifts [of Love,] not for further impoverishment. (T-12.III.3:3-4)
When the temptation to attack rises to make your mind darkened and murderous, remember you can see the battle from above.... When they [these attacks] occur leave not your place on high, but quickly choose a miracle instead of murder. (T-23.IV.6:1&5)

EGO-LEVEL POLARITY: attack, assault vs. victimhood, martyr
TRANSCENDENT SPIRITUAL LEVEL EXPERIENCE: Forgiveness

“What Is the Second Coming?” theme for lessons 301-310

by

“What Is the Second Coming?” theme for lessons 301-310

rell: The Second Coming is merely the end to our ego and our need for an egoworld. The Second Coming is merely the correction of mistakes that returns us to our sanity. It is the restoration of our minds to something that was never lost…we were just laying in wait for our own invitation to God’s Word; like we’d been laid away for a while or, a way of dreaming away in some lay away plan. Our willingness to want God restored upon all things during our lay away time.

The Second Coming is each of our own Christness coming back to the Awareness of God’s Presence. I’m thinking no one could live with me as I become aware of my Second Coming. As I would tend to be limitless... Forgiveness of my own-ness having Lighted my way home

Would I be saddened since my Second Coming means the end of my need for HolySpirit? This is the time all our minds are given Christ’s hands, to be returned to spirit; to be returned to the Will of God.

Time is not relevant in this Second Coming. This is a time in which we will all recognize we are all one. And God smiles on His one creation …His only Joy!

The Second Coming needs our eyes, and ears, our hands, and feet. It needs all of our voices. But mostly it needs our willingness. We will joyfully do God’s Will joining in the holy light. We are one, the Son of God, and we can reach our Father’s Love through Him…

Jesus regarding his crucification...from the course

by

Jesus regarding his crucification...from the course:

I elected, for your sake and mine, to demonstrate that the most outrageous assault, as judged by the ego, does not matter. As the world judges these things, but not as God knows them, I was betrayed, abandoned, beaten, torn, and finally killed. It was clear that this was only because of the projection of others onto me, since I had not harmed anyone and had healed many.

^!^ rell:

My thoughts on 9/11 and Tsusami...Yes, Jesus had healed many and continues to heal many...The Universal level of Consciousness is rising and some are beginning to feel Compassionate awareness for survivors as opposed to the continuous flow of hatred of the unknown...the unknown as judged by the ego influencing the hurting hearts and hurting minds.

My first thoughts regarding these 2 events was the Compassion for the pain and loss felt by the survivors, as they knew it, in both of these disasterous events. Especially, since they had no awareness of these remarks of Jesus. Our thoughts that is unaware of Compassion tends to fester...yet those that contains even a smidgin bit of Compassion is all we need to restore the Universl Love over the Universe...

And the course often says, that it only takes such a small amount of "Willingness."

May I offer my smidgin bit of Compassion and my smidgin bit of willingness for healing Universal Love...

Any other offers?...rell

#300 “Only an instant does this world endure.”

lesson #300 “Only an instant does this world endure.”

rell: Jesus attempts to reassure us again today that where we are in the so-called egoworld just “aint” here…and if we are thinking about transcending this so-called egoworld, our thought would endure no more than a mere instant. And yet, I tend to hang on…as though I know nothing else…and Jesus keeps right on chipping away…I know he is making tremendous strides.

This is Jesus’s thought which can be used to say that death and sorrow are the certain lot of all who come here, for their joys are gone before they are possessed, or even grasped. Yet this is also the idea that lets no false perception keep us in its hold, or represent more than a passing cloud upon a sky eternally serene. And it is this serenity we seek, unclouded, obvious and sure, today.

And he prays so fervently that:

“We seek Your holy world today. For we, Your loving Sons, have lost our way a while. But we have listened to Your Voice, and learned exactly what to do to be restored to Heaven and our true Identity. And we give thanks today the world endures but for an instant. We would go beyond that tiny instant to eternity…amen!”

#298 “I love You, Father, and I love Your Son.”

by

lesson #298 “I love You, Father, and I love Your Son.”

Jesus expresses gratitude for himself and all of us:

My gratitude permits my love to be accepted without fear. And thus am I restored to my reality at last. All that intruded on my holy sight forgiveness takes away. And I draw near the end of senseless journeys, mad careers and artificial values. I accept instead what God establishes as mine, sure that in that alone I will be saved; sure that I go through fear to meet my Love.

rell: {{{{Jesus is so sure of the senseless journey.
He never had too much of a career,
for sure no artificial values…as we can tell.
He had no problem with fear when coming to terms
with his love for us in his last days…
He had no problem when showing us our ability
to know Compassion for Self and Others…
to learn that “his last useless journey”
was to let us know about “Resurrection.”
How it was met without pain through his ability
to know forgiveness as he is quoted as saying,
“Forgive them Father, they know not what they do.”
Even to his last physical breath…
he must have known what he would be doing next
and perhaps looking forward to it?
I feel pretty sure Jesus had no guilt…
No one could ever guilt him.
Oh, how freeing that must have been for him?

I know that I have no looming fear for physical death…
I’m wondering if I’d walk through it somewhat like he did. And I just have to keep wondering until I find out for sure...love from this phssical one...rell

#297 “Forgiveness is the only gift I give.”

by

lesson #297 “Forgiveness is the only gift I give.”

Jesus is reiterating the value of forgiveness once again:

Forgiveness is the only gift I give, because it is the only gift I want. And everything I give I give myself. This is salvation's simple formula. And I, who would be saved, would make it mine, to be the way I live within a world that needs salvation, and that will be saved as I accept Atonement for myself.

rell: I remember reading about forgiveness the first time in ACIM…
and it was to be me forgiving me and I said,
“What? I didn’t learn this that way!”

But I happen to be a fast learner…
since I am the one to condemn me,
I am the one who must surely forgive these wrong decisions about me…
I love going to HolySpirit and saying
“Best paracleted Friend I ever had,
I’ve decided something conflicting with God about me, I reverently ask you to undo the consequences and about this wrong decision about this child that You Love.
And restore the radiance and joy
that is waiting for her as she is cleaning her slate of condemnation!

Jesus prays with us all in mind:

“Father, how certain are Your ways; how sure their final outcome, and how faithfully is every step in my salvation set already, and accomplished by Your grace. Thanks be to You for Your eternal gifts, and thanks to You for my Identity…”

And I, rell, am so Divinely Blessed…that this is all done for me.

Re: #297 “Forgiveness is the only gift I give.”

by Patrick S

When I first heard "forgive them for what they did NOT do to you," I was struck dumfounded! Sure gave my thinking a new dimension and my life a new and wonderful twist...I CAN change my perspective of the past, what a concept! I Love you, Pat

Read the Instructions in the Introduction to each book...

by Patrick

Hi Dave, Many of us skip the Introductions and other "pre-face" like things in books. A Course In Miracles appears to me to give us specific directions, espeically in the Introductions. Then he makes a statement, then expands on the statement...Jesus said at the beginnning of his Course in Miracles: "Nothing Real is threatend, nothing unreal exists, herein lies the peace of God." Then he wrote a Text, The daily lessons, The Teacher's Manual plus several other aids to explain it...almost 1500 pages...I'd suggest starting from the very beginning...haha, I have, several times and have NEVER failed to discover new and exciting things for me to do! Enjoy life, that's what its all about...Patrick S

#296 “The Holy Spirit speaks through me today.”

by

lesson #296 “The Holy Spirit speaks through me today.”

As Jesus prays to us for us:
“The Holy Spirit needs my/our voice today, that all the world may listen to Your Voice, and hear Your Word through me/us. I am resolved to let You speak through me/us, for I/we would use no words but Yours, and have no thoughts which are apart from Yours, for only Yours are true. I/we would be savior to the world I/we made. For having damned it I/we would set it free, that I/we may find escape, and hear the Word Your holy Voice will speak to me/us today…amen”

Jesus:
We teach today what we would learn, and that alone. And so our learning goal becomes an unconflicted one, and possible of easy reach and quick accomplishment. How gladly does the Holy Spirit come to rescue us from hell, when we allow His teaching to persuade the world, through us, to seek and find the easy path to God.

rell: Its like today they want my voice, (no not want,) needs my voice;
yesterday it was my eyes they wanted/needed to use…
the day before it was my body to use our dream
to get pasts our fears of death…
and prior to that Jesus was reassuring us
that a happy outcome was very sure…
before that, Christ Vision was looking right through me
to show me all things forgiven and at peace…
(now not some things, but ALL things forgiven and at peace…)
wanting us to offer this same vision to the so-called egoworld…
reassured that loveliness would be all around us;
and holiness would be surrounding us…
this just says to me, come on rell, let go and go with this good guy.

Then there is that part of me who has seen so many politicians
at work to sell me a bad bill of abilities about the other guy,
that I feel the need to be leary…
yet, when I look at these lesson,
there is no bill for the other guy to be a bad guy…
they are not reassuring fear about the other guy,
they are only reassuring Love for and of the other guy…
so what keeps me thinking that they are a politician?
Good question, huh?

Oh, dear HolySpirit, how quick can I count on you to come and rescue me
I feel like I am in one hell of a dilemma
Please help me deprogram all of what my wonderful mind
has been programed with these many days,
and reduce it back to Your Truth.
Is that too big a job for you?
That is what I need that is what I want…
Truth…

I know that is all I get from you oh dearest HolySpirit…
you have held my hand and guided me through ever so many hard spots,
and you have done each one so successfully…
I will let go and You may do the rest of this walk hugging me
so tightly,
so assuredly,
so filled with radiance that I can not falter…

This I am this day…

#299 “Eternal holiness abides in me.”

by

#299 “Eternal holiness abides in me.”

Even Jesus maintains and declares:

“My holiness is far beyond my own ability to understand or know. Yet God, my Father, Who created it, acknowledges my holiness as His. Our Will, together, understands it. And Our Will, together, knows that it is so.”

rell: Oh! What a tremendous Denial System
we have chartered for ourselves…
(I am referring to me?)
But seeing my holiness is far beyond
my own ability to understand or know,
seems to lessen a need for My Denial System…
Perhaps understanding that I can not understand my own holiness
will help me come to terms with it on another level
as opposed to one that I may be too condemning of my own self
to accept the possibility of having had holiness
bestowed upon me by God…
Jesus is telling me that I actually had nothing to do with my own holiness…
can do nothing about it, except begin to accept it.
Yeah, that might work.

With this all said, recognized, and commenced to accept…
this will mean that my will is the Will that God has for me
and together Our Will could be very powerful
but only for what is T&G* (True & Good!)

Jesus is praying:

“Father, my holiness is not of me. It is not mine to be destroyed by sin. It is not mine to suffer from attack. Illusions can obscure it, but can not put out its radiance, nor dim its light. It stands forever perfect and untouched. In it are all things healed, for they remain as You created them. And I can know my holiness. For Holiness Itself created me, and I can know my Source because it is Your Will that You be known…amen”

rell: How comforting it is to know
that none of my so-called “sinfulness” could destroy or dim
this holiness that God bestowed upon me/us?
How comforting it is to know that I’ve really had nothing to do
with my own holiness…
is this why I was not anxious to own it…?
that little quirk about me, {{{if I didn’t make it It… is not mine?}}}

LOL…what we/I wont do to abort holiness,
and abort accepting that it is of God, not of me,
and it could possibly be almost a wonderful option
to consider being a little bit holy?
Or, even a lot holy?

Jesus is alluding to this holiness that God created
and that I have …that all things are healed…
now, is this why sweetie is as good as he is with healing?
because we have no choice but to accept our holiness
when we leave the physical body?
and there all things are healed…?

Now, if I can just remember this
and stay out of that Denial System (*DS)…
all would be holier?
Jesus is doing his best to make it so easy for me…
and I drag my feet like sweetie did here in his physical form…
I’m still smiling at ya sweetie…

Another question!

by Dave

Hello again,

I posted some questions a few months back. Once again I have some more!

I started reading ACIM doing the lessons pretty well but not on a daily basis. I also read the text in no particular order. Things were going good with the course until I fell in love. Once that happened I set the course aside. Foolishly I ruined the relationship not long after it got started. Now of course I want to get back to the course but am concerened picking up where I left off might leave me confused as ever. Should I start over or just keep plugging along?

Thank anybody for any help!

Should I start over or just keep plugging along?

by

{{{{{{{{{{{Should I start over or just keep plugging along? Thank anybody for any help! Dave}}}}}}}}}

Dave, I'm prety sure you know the answer to this question by now. If skipping around got you what you got, and... if you continue to do what you did before, then you will most likely get the same results.

Not that you were reading the course to get you the perfect relationsip...nnnnnnaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwww
not that.......but...you did bring up the course...

Dave, once I read that line that said the ego's greatest declaration is: "SEEK....DUT DO NOT FIND......." I said to me, for some reason this course was written in the order that it was written.

The course is about being willing to change one's mind. I took it as a possible set of instructions to do just that.

If indeed, I had learned to do something from one of my early teachers while on my knees crawling around, that was not beneficial to me, and and yet it was a part of my Beleif System most likely it was no more than my BS, or their's...Then...these page by page instructions were very kind to me, to my mind sets...and, very subtle, very diligent, and very rewarding! I did not see where jumping around (encouraged to do so by ego) would get me my results obtained as of today.

What more can I say?

Dear Confused As Ever.

by

{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{DAVE: Now of course I want to get back to the course but am concerned picking up where I left off might leave me confused as ever.}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

Dear Confused As Ever...I sorta feel like Dear Abby...but, then after all, I am such a light hearted soul...I've thought about you as the day went on...I'm feeling my most recent post may be a way to shed some light. {{{#299. My eternal hloiness........}}}

Would you consider the fact that I could have been predominately ego before I commenced to redeem back up any Higher Self that I was able to gleen?

'Twere I predominately ego could I understand an instructional sheet based on 1500 pages, geared to be taken in without analyzitation? (is this a word?) which if one considers the word "analize" becoming 2 words, it then is anal eyesing? when one can consider analyzing as fear, and fear is of ego, one is seeing through the anal eye of fear, or... one can choose to see through the love that this book says that one is born to be. Now, let us take the word realize ... The Intro says; "Anything that is Real, or of Love, it is of God"...let us make 2 words of "Realize" and now one is understanding this book with the Real Eyes of Love or, of the Higher Self one was born to be.

Would one tend to become aware that as the book is permeating the beautiful mind of the lighthearted reader...and as the pages are turned and turned without the interferance of the ego tempting one to set it aside or to listen to ego interference to "Seek, but do not find?" wouldn't they then commence to be grasping a rather deeper understanding of the love each of us in this Universe was born to be...? Oh, By The Way, (OBTW) ...like it or not, where it tells us we will heal every one...to me: it simply means as I am healed and can see only love, I can not see any unhealedness in another...isn't this little effort so beautifully worthwhile for me to begin see every one I meet as this love that I was born to be?

*********This lighthearted one is really wondering what your ego is trying to tell you right now?**********I am not ego curious, but feeling light and free curious....and grinning a great big wide toothy grin ........"WWWWWWWWWWWWWW" luv ya, rell

ACIM for relationships?

by Dave

Rell,

Of course I didn't pick up and start ACIM to help me find a relationship. I lost my focus when I fell in love. At first I felt like you were mocking me. I forgave you for something you did not do of course, then I read your response again and it made more sense.

I'm lost for a bit is all. I'm sure i'll get back on track.

Thanks,
Dave

I was hoping that you would get it that I am merely light hearted

by

or, light minded...The lightness in your mind did make that connection. You will do wonderfully studying the course...Lighten up, it is all in there...Real eyes this with the lightness of your mind and it will all penetrate the cosmicness of that wonderful mind...

Have you ever asked youself where all this questioning is coming from and why? and where it will take you? and what you will want if you find your answers?

The course is based on achieving Inner Peace, to me, and the path to finding it is clear...to me.

Most people that I have enjoyed being with (OBTW, my home was open to any one who wanted to study with me for many years) and while grasping the course confessed that they got so much more out of it the second and the third and even the fourth time through it...as they, too, were seeking Inner Peace... they also confessed that they did not Real eyes the dominance the ego had been dominating their minds with the first time through, and felt that is why they got so much more the other times through...can you understand their reasoning yet?

One of the main outgrowths of living the course, to the best of my ability at any given time, is: gaining a deeper awareness of Compassion. Compassion seems to soften any harshness that would behoove me about life. Can you see how Compassion would tend to be geared to Inner Peace?

Compassion for any situation assures me that I can not "outdo" God...Compassion allows me to feel the deeper awareness of the dilemmas others are faced with, I did not say that I was doing any second guessing of any part of an awareness, but to feel their happiness or joy, or sadness, or fearfulness, and yet tend to remain outside of "outdoing" God...and know that Love prevails where fearfulness can be deminished to a dot.

Best wishes for your successes from this light hearted one....rell

lesson #295 “The Holy Spirit looks through me today.”

by

lesson #295 “The Holy Spirit looks through me today.”

Christ asks that He may use my eyes today, and thus redeem the world. He asks this gift that He may offer peace of mind to me, and take away all terror and all pain. And as they are removed from me, the dreams that seemed to settle on the world are gone. Redemption must be one. As I am saved, the world is saved with me. For all of us must be redeemed together. Fear appears in many different forms, but love is one.

rell: How can my eyes redeem the world? How can my eyes take away all terror and all pain? What would my dream be? Redemption I understand. I liken redemption to the “Eagle Stamps” that we used to get when we made purchases. Then they were pasted in an “Eagle Stamp Book.” They meant nothing until they were taken to the redemption center and then redeemed for what ever we wanted to use them for. Much like when I have redeemed my HigherSelf…all was waiting for me to redeem it and to have it for whatever I wanted to use it for…I remember Honoring these gifts of God back up, such as: Integrity…I call that one my main and stabilizing gift. Then there are Dignity, Generosity, Humility, Reverence, Trusting mySelf, Wisdom, Courage, Bravery, Joy, Kindness, Love, Magneticness, Non-Judgmentalness, Open-mindedness, and Volition…the list goes on and on…But it felt like each one was several books of stamps readying to be redeemed.

As Jesus prays this prayer for me/us today:

“My Father, Christ has asked a gift of me, and one I give that it be given me. Help me to use the eyes of Christ today, and thus allow the Holy Spirit's Love to bless all things which I may look upon, that His forgiving Love may rest on me….amen”

And I, rell, feel like the Christ is still accomplishing bundles with these eyes when I am open enough to let Him use them…

What Is the Real World?

by

What Is the Real World?

(rell: Jesus is doing his best to explain the big difference between God’s Realworld and the egoworld. And he is ever urging us onward…urging us to forgive what we thought we made and get on with the Realworld of God). Thus far, I haven’t done it totally at any one time…I do not think. )

The Real world is a symbol, like the rest of what perception offers. Yet it stands for what is opposite to what you made. Your (ego)world is seen through eyes of fear, and brings the witnesses of terror to your mind. The Real world cannot be perceived except through eyes forgiveness blesses, so they see a (Real)world where terror is impossible, and witnesses to fear can not be found.

The Real world holds a counterpart for each unhappy thought reflected in your (ego)world; a sure correction for the sights of fear and sounds of battle which your (ego)world contains. The Real world shows a world seen differently, through quiet eyes and with a mind at peace. Nothing but rest is there. There are no cries of pain and sorrow heard, for nothing there remains outside forgiveness. And the sights are gentle. Only happy sights and sounds can reach the mind that has forgiven itself. (I, rell, loved that movie with Robin Williams "Where Dreams May Come." So beautiful!)

What need has such a mind for thoughts of death, attack and murder? What can it perceive surrounding it but safety, love and joy? What is there it would choose to be condemned, and what is there that it would judge against? The (Real)world it sees arises from a mind at peace within itself. No danger lurks in anything it sees, for it is kind, and only kindness does it look upon.

The Real world is the symbol that the dream of sin and guilt is over, and God's Son no longer sleeps. His waking eyes perceive the sure reflection of his Father's Love; the certain promise that he is redeemed. The Real world signifies the end of time, for its perception makes time purposeless.

The Holy Spirit has no need of time when it has served His purpose. Now He waits but that one instant more for God to take His final step, and time has disappeared, taking perception with it as it goes, and leaving but the truth to be itself. That instant is our goal, for it contains the memory of God. And as we look upon a world forgiven, it is He Who calls to us and comes to take us home, reminding us of our Identity which our forgiveness has restored to us.
