Why wait for Heaven?
Those who seek the light are merely covering their eyes.
The light is in us now.
Enlightenment is merely a recognition
Not a change at all.

Light is not of the egoworld.
The light came with you when you were born.
It stayed with you because it is your own.
It is the only thing you bring with you…
The light cannot be lost.
Who would deny the presence of what we behold?
It is not difficult to look within
For there all visions (seeing with God’s eye) begins.
For there we all see God.
The light in our minds reminds the world
What it has forgotten.
The world restores our memory of God to us as well.
The peace of God never can be contained.
When we recognize this light within ourselves…
We must then give it away.
Sit quietly…closing your eyes…

On the backside of your eyelids.
Did you know those glorious colors were just waiting for you?)
This light that is within us is sufficient.
This light alone has the power to give
The gift of God’s sight to us.
Go on past the egoworld
Let these thoughts become
The holy messengers of God HimSelf.
These thoughts we think with Him
Recognize our home.
Our practice brings us nearer to the light within.
We have learned to take our wandering thoughts…
Bringing them back to God.
We will forgive all
We will absolve all
From what we thought they did to us.
It is us who make the egoworld as we see it.
Now we choose it to be innocent
Absent of sin…open to salvation!
As we give this world our blessing:

No one can give unless he has.
We cannot bless unless we feel blessed ourselves.
We do not feel blessed if we feel separated from God.
We cannot bless unless we are blessed.
Can you get an idea of how the lowerself we have been loyal to
Has blessed this world…perhaps a little puny?
This is a powerful lesson on the idea of sacrifice
And the many forms we think that is does take
When indeed, there is nothing of God to sacrifice.
Ideas must first belong to us,
Before we can give them…
Never forget we give but to ourselves
Who understands what giving means
Must laugh at this idea of sacrifice.
Nor can he fail to recognize
The many forms which sacrifice may take.
We must laugh as well at pain and loss,
At sickness and at grief,
At poverty,
Starvation and at death.
We recognize sacrifice remains
The one idea that stands behind them all,
And in our gentle laughter they are healed.
The thought of sacrifice gives rise
To all the forms that suffering appears to take.
And sacrifice is an idea
So mad that sanity dismisses it at once.
Never believe that we can or will sacrifice.
There is no place for sacrifice in what has any value.
If the thought occurs, its very presence proves
That error has arisen and correction must be made.
Our blessings will correct it.
Given first to myself, it now is ours to give to you as well.
No form of sacrifice and suffering can long endure
Before the face of each one who has forgiven and has blessed himself.
Now are we one in thought, for fear has gone.
And here, before the altar to one God,
One Father,
One Creator and
One Thought,
We stand together as one Son of God.
Not separate from Him Who is our Source.
Now we are blessed, and now we bless the world.

Even though the salvation of the world depends on me
All we are asked to do is accept our part with genuine humility…
And quit denying this with our lowerself-deceiving arrogance
That we are unworthy…
And begin accepting that we ARE worthy!
Our minds are perfectly capable to take on the part
Assigned to us by One Who knows us well.
We will lay aside ALL false humility today…
That we may listen to HolySpirit reveal our assignments.
HolySpirit doesn’t doubt our strength,
HolySpirit doesn’t doubt our wisdom and our holiness. If HolySpirit deems us worthy…
Then surely we are worthy!
It is only our arrogance that would want to disagree.
(And our demand to remain loyal to our lower worth-makers.)
Let it stand to reason, if we are not at peace…
Consider given up the plans made at our worth-maker’s knees.
Consider accepting God’s plan instead.
Since HolySpirit assures us we are needed
Then I’m accepting this is so…how about you?
I learned many lessons back that my arrogance
Accepts and wants a fear ridden image that is not real. {{{{{{{remember? NOTHING UNREAL EXISTS}}}}}}
There is that shaky scary side of us that retreats in terror
At any change we are faced to greet.
We are not weak,
We are not ignorant, nor helpless…
And ego cannot tarnish our truth.
As HolySpirit calls to us, we will be comforted.
Who understands our reticence to the unknown…
Unknown we want to think?
But then, let’s ask?
Unknown to whom?
The lowerself that we thought we were?
Or the HigherSelf we were born to be?…amen

If we could believe these words for just an instant;
There would be no further sorrow in any form;
In any place or time…
Our full awareness could encompass Heaven,
Our remembrance of God would be restored,
And, then our resurrection of all creation
Would be fully recognized.
We cannot mean these words and continue to be sick…
We cannot make a hell and think it real…
If one desires the peace of God…
Then it is given to them who desire.
If this is all we want,
Then…this, is all we will receive.
Many have tried to say these words…
But few can really mean them.
One only needs to look around
To notice how few can really mean them.
This egoworld would be completely changed…
Should any 2 agree these words
Will express the only thing they want.
TWO minds with ONE intent become so strong
What these TWO minds “will”, “desire”, “yearn for”
Becomes the Will of God!
For minds can only join in truth.
Minds cannot unite in dreams…that is bargaining.
No bargain made can bring any one the peace of God.
To mean that one wants the “Peace of God”
One has to renounce all dreams
Because no one can mean these words
And still want illusions.
The mind which really does mean that all one wants is peace
Must join with other minds who also have the same intent…
That is how peace is obtained
When the wish is genuine,
Then we are given the means to find it…
In forms each mind seeking in honesty can fully understand.
We will not miss the lesson
Regardless of the form it is presented
When sincerity prevails.
If this necessary sincerity does not prevail
Don’t bother to expect any lesson
To seek the peace of God.
We say, “We want the peace of God…”
As we go through the day,
Focus on the sincerity of desire.
Devote time to the dreams you wish to cherish still.
Devote time to those you are willing to forego…
Devote time to what you are asking for in your heart.
There is no compromise in the choice we make.
We choose God’s peace or we continue our dream.
Yes, we all seem to want the peace of God
And that will be given because we ask.
The peace of God is ours How can we fail when we ask
For what we have already?

Repeat God’s Name and we invite angels to surround us
As they spread their wings they are singing to us.
Their spreading wings keep us safe and offer shelter from
Every worldly thought that would intrude upon our holiness.
Repeat God’s Name and the Realworld responds
By laying down illusions.
Every dream the egoworld holds dear will suddenly go by.
Repeat God’s Name and little names
Have lost their meaning.
Repeat God’s Name and see how easy it is
To forget the name of all the egogods we valued.
Repeat God’s Name and call upon your TrueSelf,
Whose Name is His.
Repeat His Name and all the nameless things on earth
Slip into the right perspective.
Practice repeating God’s Name today
Until you hear nothing else.
Let God’s Name be our only thought…
Our only word…the only thing upon our minds…
The only sound with any meaning…
As we invite God come
And God will come.
As we sit silently today His Name is the only thing
That holds our minds completely.
All little things are silent now.
Little sounds are soundless now.
All little things will disappear.
The Universe consists of nothing
But the Children of God,
Who calls upon our Father.
This is where communication far transcends all words,
Exceeding in depth and height whatever words
Could possibly convey, in peace eternal.
In our Father’s name we experience this peace today!

Does the memory of a Realhome keep haunting you?
Does this egoworld we think we live in seem like home to you?
Do you feel like an alien here, like being from another planet?
Do you ever feel like you are in exile?
Is this constant feeling no more than just a tiny tuck,
And then let go, returning again and again?
Could you possibly want to feel this lingering sadness?
For sad it is to be away from our Realhome…
Sad because we have this faint feeling that our Realhome
Is so gloriously beautiful, so holy, yet we are not there?
We ceaselessly search for something that will numb this memory.
This knowing; this joining; this evasive holy instant.
When we are still an instant
This egoworld recedes from us.
When valueless ideas cease to fill
Our restless minds…
We have returned to our Realhome
If only for an instant.
We can hear His Voice in that holy instant.
We are in that perfect stillness,
In that perfect peace, feeling the love
That we were born to be.
Today I will rest with Him
In that holy instant when I hear His call.
Today I know my innate innocence
Is still powerful enough to listen
To this Voice for God…to know I’m home.

These next 20 lessons will be making a special point of making our willingness stronger and our scatteredness more focused. Our Practice time encourages the sense of peace we have sought since day One...even if the havoc (ego) we have known wants to intervene at every chance. What times our inner peace have prevailed is all so valuable to us, creating this desire for more. More peace within.
These lessons will widen our horizons. Those blocks that narrow our minds will diminish and be lifted...if even just fleetingly at first. Words will set this stage for us, but experiencing this brings freedom and peace.
Our learning will get more intensified as words become unnecessary. We will be more surer of what we value and what is becoming valueless. These lessons continue this journey Beyond what inhibits our progress.
Denying the defensiveness to opening up to what remains beyond what is ours to experience...will be less subtler. These next lessons will attempt to go beyond all defenses a little while each day. This will assure us of wanting and seeking the assurance the rest will be for us.

ACIM #181 “I trust my brothers who are one with me.”
If only on a daily basis, or hourly, or by the minute…
I could even briefly remove my focus off my brother’s mistakes…
I could experience the peace that would come from my sinlessness.
I have to see my brothers sinlessness to transcend
The doubt and lack in all the doubt and lack that I see in me.
When I attack, I do not look beyond my errors.
In fact, my errors are magnified,
Becoming blocks to my awareness of my HigherSelf
That is waiting for me to own me again.
If only for a little while today
Without regard to my past or my future
If such blocks of attack upon my brothers come up…
I must instruct myself to chant:
“It is not this that I would look upon.
I trust my brothers, who are one with me.”
I must use this thought to keep me safe throughout the day.
And as I see the love my brothers were born to be…
All obstacles will cease that seem to block this love
That is me…
Yes, this love that I was born to be…
Wholly loving and wholly lovable.

When we have finished this 10 day review
We will recognize these words are true.
These words are used to recall to our minds
The remembrance and permanence of God’s love.
It is faith in this daily experience that comes from our practice.
We will recognize that we move past the experience.
The meaning is far beyond the words or sounds,
As they grow dim and disappear
As we re-gain ourSelves once again
In God’s outstretching arms…
Where we have come to rest.
God is but Love, and therefore so am I.

The Course was sent to open the path of light to us,
And to teach us, step by step just exactly how to
Return to our eternal Self.
Jesus is taking this journey with us.
He tries to share our doubts and fears
And see it as the same road
That he had taken to overcome
All fear and doubts.
We walk with Jesus so he can understand
Our uncertainty and our pain
He says he must remain with the ones he teaches.
Seeing what we see and the way we see it.
Yet, he already knows the way out.
We will get out with him.
Jesus claims a resurrection each time he leads us out
He claims he is renewed each time a brother
Learns there is better way from pain and misery.
He claims he is reborn each time a brothers turns
To the light in him and look for him.
Jesus claims to have forgotten no one.
He will help us make the choices he made.

This is the True Self alone that knows love.
This True Self is consistent in our thoughts

For another phase of understanding.
Those whose footsteps wavered with doubts

We have continued to walk with uncertainty
And slowly on this Course’s road.
Jesus now encourages a greater certainty,
A firmer purpose and a surer goal.
