to tell you guys that the top hw55 SM is serialnr.469655 and is made in 1973.The hw55S has serialnr.153680 and is from 1962 according to my fabrication list.The hw55S has adifferent butplate but is the original and isn,t that often seen.Also the lenght of the fingergrooves is 2cm shorter than the ones on a 55sm.15and 13cm Greetings from the Netherlands Simon

Here is a HW 55 T with finger grooves, serial # in the 34,000 range

I have never seen a walnut Tyrolean with finger grooves...It has a factory red rubber butt, bit worn, and a solid steel diopter of slightly different shape....Huge iris....GB
